At California Baby, we love Calendula so much that we scrutinized every step of our process to make it even better and more functional. For years we relied on a trusted supplier of this beloved pot marigold flower (that we call Nature’s First-Aid), but we were frustrated that they could not provide a us with a NOP certified organic extract. As we are known to do, we took the matter into our own hands! I found an organic farmer willing to grow the flower just for us and we put in place a process to extract calendula in our certified organic facility. Next, by slowing the process down we found that we could achieve a much higher concentration of certified organic calendula flower extract! So you may notice that Calendula was bumped a bit lower on the ingredient list-but that doesn’t mean you are getting less of our favorite flower extract-in fact, California Baby Calendula products have even more calendula in them due to extreme concentration, which results in higher actives at a lower use %. Trust that we continue to improve the quality of our products and we would NEVER try to cut corners. OMG my 3 yr. daughter been struggle w/ REALLY bad eczema since she was new born...i'm so happy to found this product!!! there were times that she can't sleep at night cause the itch and she will keep scratching until bleeding & cry so much when we bathe her...we have to keep her in one-piece jumpsuit at all time so her whole body will cover...she has been seeing doctors and they gave her lots of different creams and medicines to help her eczema...some of the medicines help but won't last long and will back to bleeding open skins again...until i found this product along w/ their shampoo and body wash for her...within THREE DAYS you can see her skins ARE BETTER!!! not only myself noticed it...my sisters, her grandparents, my friends...EVERYONE noticed that too...my mom and 2 of my sisters asked me to buy them some as well...whoever try it they love it!!! they even have the volume discount too!!! we just can't live without it!!! THANKS A LOT to California Baby products!!! i even took some pictures of my daughters day by day to prove that her skins are getting much better before & we haven't even touch any of her prescription creams since she uses this along w/ other California Baby products!!!

While I am generally a fan of California Baby Products (I've used their bath products, sunscreen, and bug repellant), I cannot recommend this particular item. While it is an effective moisturizer, it really stings if the skin is dry enough to be even minimally raw. I've experienced this stinging sensation myself, and my three year-old daughter once began to cry when we used this medication on some dry skin on her face. I recognize that many moisturizers can sting overly dry skin, but I'm surprised that a product geared towards young children would have this attribute. For very dry skin (such as the skin under the nose during a cold), then, I recommend Aquaphor Healing Ointment for Babies, which never stings at all. Like California Baby products, this Aquaphor product receives a very good safety rather from the Environmental Working Group.

I bought this to use on my eczema, after trying many others. This is the first thing that has really helped! I have very sensitive skin, so other creams and lotions that got rave reviews, I couldn't use at all, they would burn my skin. It finally occurred to me to look in the baby section, and I remembered that calendula is very soothing - and it is! I'm so grateful to have found this.

My daughter has tried many products on her newborn's skin to relieve the eczema. This has been the only product that has made a significant difference on his delicate skin. Daily use all over keeps the eczema in check, and his skin feels silky smooth. If they miss putting it on for just one day, the eczema worsens. This is great stuff, safe, no harsh chemicals.

i received a small tube of this cream for my baby shower. at about 2.5 weeks my son had developed really bad cradle cap and i had tried everything to get rid of it. i finally pulled out my california baby gift set and tried it. i used the super sensative baby wash to cleanse him, which cleared away some of the dry skin. right after the bath i applied the calendula cream to his head. right away you could tell it was clearing up. by the morning it was gone! i still applied it a few more times just to keep him mosterized, although it wasnt entirely needed. i LOVE this stuff. it is a little messy with hair, but healed is better than messy! i have also used it for my 2 year olds eczema and it works faster then the cortizone cream.

I found out I am allergic to gluten and also wanted a safe effective cream. California baby has gentle creams that are effective, apply evenly and smoothly and smell great. I am so glad I found this paraben free brand even packaged in a safe container. I have found a little goes a long ways which is great as it is an expensive cream. I am sold and this will be a staple in our house. I also use this on my face and it works great.
