I bought this pricey sunblock for my baby, but I ended up using it. It has very good water resistance. The water beads up when I have this on. Feels sticky/oily and the scent is very strong. The smell is not unpleasant, but I'm worried it will cause a reaction on my baby's skin. I wouldn't use this on my face since I have oily skin. I'm disappointed drugstore.com no longer sells the fragrance-free version.

The best. Works great, no chemicals. I love the scent -- it's like lemongrass. Takes a little bit of rubbing in to get the white to go away. Slightly oily/sticky, but better than most. Excellent lasting power in water. I have super fair skin and this stuff has saved me on long river floats.

We've used this sunscreen since my 3yr-old was born. It's easy to rub in and is odorless (I think some reviews are for the combo sunscreen/bug repellant). I research ingredients to avoid the toxic chemicals that the FDA allows in our products (there's a lot of horrible stuff in our products!). Most sunscreens use ingredients that tested positively for cancer, organ system, developmental and reproductive toxicity, immunotoxicity, contamination, etc. California Baby is the safest waterproof sunscreen on the market-for babies, children AND adults. It has no chemicals, parabens, PABA or fragrance and has mostly organic ingredients. To check safety, go to the EWG website. They provide full product reports, and if your product isn't shown, you can enter the ingredients to get your own report. California Baby rates the best, and for us, there will never be any other sunscreen.

This product has a very offensive odor. It is truly terrible. I am not sensitive to odors either! It is a waste of money, opt for the fragrance free instead.

I only give it 4 stars because I realized only after I received my order that this is not the UNSCENTED version that I had been using... This smells like citronella. Aside from that, it works very well on the skin of my very fair 7-month-old. Rubs in easily and works for hours, even in the California sun.

This stuff smells very strong. Also, it needs alot of rubbing in to get rid of the white. You have to wait atleast 20 minutes before getting baby wet or will run all over the place. I just don't like it for the smell and how white it comes in.

A great new product for our family, as we have been converting to "greener" and healthier products. We live in the Florida Keys, so quality sunscreen is a must! We just came back from a few hours at the pool, and we're very pleased with this sunscreen formulation. It is a little thicker, but I find that encourages me to rub it in more thoroughly and make sure that no spots were missed - a must when covering my 2-year-old. No funny smell, and not greasy (not sure why another reviewer thought so). Doesn't leave a film on your skin like conventional sunscreen, and washed off easily with soap and water when we came home. We will buy this again!

Yes it is expensive and yes it is white when it goes on, however, after trying many different products this is the only product I have found to date that does not sting my daughters eyes and actually seems to help her eczema patches. I have bought California Baby for all my nieces and nephews also. Everyone has been very pleased with it.

My daughter has eczema and everything I put on her skin burns, especially sunscreen. This is the only sunblock that does not burn her. This is the only product she doesn't complain about when I put it on. I also love the smell.
