One of the worst purchases I have ever made. At least 60% of the breast milk I have stored in these has been wasted due to leakage on thawing. Even when specific directions were followed, and when thawed overnight - it leaks. I would warn every pumping Mom NOT to buy these. I can't believe how much work of pumping has been lost!!!

Unlike the others who wrote in reviews, I have not lost tons of breastmilk with these bags. The thing I love about bags is that they are compatiable with my Avent disposable bottle. I will admit that the Lanoish bags were better at standing up on their own (the Gerber bags claim to be self-standing but are not), but I just store them laid one on top of another (which actually takes up less room than to store than standing).

I HATE these bags. They are beyond horrible! My baby refused all thawed milk that came from these bags but happily drank all milk that came from the Lansinoh bags. Also Gerber does not give you any instructions (Lansinoh does - and the instructions are very helpful). It sickens me to think about how much money I wasted on these bags, but more so, how much breastmilk I had to throw out.

When I first started reading all the bad reviews, I could not understand why everyone was saying these bags leaked. I started freezing my milk shortly after my son was born, and had no problems with leaks. Yet to my suprise, the leaks did not occur until I began defrosting the milk (4 months later) to use it. I am now using Lansinoh with no leaks at all. I buy them for the same price as the Gerber bags and they are much sturdier.

When thawed, milk leaks out of bags. Lost a lot of breastmilk from these bags. Recommend plastic containers or vials. Will not use bags ever again.

The most important thing about a storage bag for breast milk is being leak proof. These bags are not. When you defrost them, they leak. I felt sick watching the bag leak after all the time and effort it took to collect the milk. Gerber must have done something different, because this was never a problem before. I noticed the difference in the most recent pack I bought. What a disappointment. The Lansinoh bags are much better quality.

I had a similar experience as the previous reviewer did. I have used these bags for 6 months without any problems. About 2 months ago I've noticed that they changed the writing on the bags and that they were harder to open when empty. Also, I now have leaking problems with 1/3 of them, although I very carefully seal them after I pour the milk in. Very frustrating considering how difficult it is to pump the milk.

I used these storage bags until my baby was 8 months old without a problem (he's now 11 months), but then they started leaking whenever I defrosted the milk. I'm not sure if Gerber changed their manufacturing process or what, but the last 2 packages of bags I bought were terrible. The Lansinoh bags are more expensive, but are MUCH sturdier, never leak, and definitely worth the price!

Great product! I pack a bunch of these when I travel, and find that they are an effective (and compact) way to store milk when on the road. They don't leak, and take up a heck of a lot less space than bottles. I had 20 of them jammed into a cooler (which was then jammed into an airplane fridge), and not a one leaked. They can go right into the freezer, defrost easily, and are easy to handle even if you don't use a disposable bottle system. I can't recommend them highly enough. Without them, I would have had to wean or pump-and-dump because I must travel for work!
