I have very sensitive ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 5/9/08I have very sensitive skin that burns easily. I also have mild rosacea and sunscreens make my face break out. My dermatologist recommended this sunscreen and it is the only one that I have never had any problems with and I have been using it for years. I apply it every morning, summer or winter, on my face and neck. I agree with the other reviews that it does not look good so I wear a liquid makeup over this product. I have tried quite a few different brands and have found that Revlon's New Complexion liquid makeup looks the best, maybe because it does not contain an additional sunscreen.
This sunblock is great if ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 1/7/08This sunblock is great if you have fair, sensitive skin. Yes, the titanium dioxide in it gives you a white cast, but it soaks in to some degree and becomes more transparent after about 15 minutes. If your skin is fair, the white cast is not very obvious, and it just looks like you have a nice, even-toned complexion. Put a little gel bronzer over it here and there, and it's quite a nice look. If your complexion is other than fair, skip this product altogether, or consider mixing it with a little foundation or bronzer to warm up the tone. Also, it's a very mild, soft lotion that is very soothing to the skin... it will never irritate you. You can also use it around your eyes with no problems. I am very breakout-prone, and this has never clogged my pores. It's not waterproof, so I would not recommend it for sports, or jogging. But for everyday activities in sunny weather, it is a comforting sunblock to have around. I recommend it to everyone with a fair complexion.
This is a wonderful ... by Stephanie in Boise, ID on 7/16/07This is a wonderful product that really offers true sun protection. I use it because the active ingredient is Titanium Dioxide, which is the only thing my dermatologist says really protects against the sun for a long period of time. In order to avoid the "Kabuki Effect" other reviewers have mentioned here, I mix 70:30 with my moisturizer. Works like a charm! I have ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 7/6/07I have sensitive/breakout-prone skin and find most sunblocks to be too greasy. Like most reviewers I found this sunblock to cast a white tint no matter how well I attempted to rub it in. For a 30 SPF sunblock it didn't perform very well, as I had sunburn after being outdoors for only 2 hours. To top it off, it made my face break out. The only positive things about this sunblock are that it isn't at all greasy, even after wearing it all day, and there is no fragrance, hence the one star.
I love it. It's the first ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 6/24/07I love it. It's the first sunscreen that does not have the characteristic suncreen smell that I hate. To avoid looking like you have clown make-up on, you have to apply only as much as your skin can absorb. Re-apply after a few minutes if necessary.
I apply a drop of it at a time on my face. I rub it down really well on one part of my face, and then apply another drop on another part until I finish my face. You cannot just goop it on and spread it out like regular sunscreen, or else it will look like you just had kabuki makeup put on.
The BEST for eczema, ... by Abby in Fort Bragg, NC on 6/19/07The BEST for eczema, allergy sufferers. My 7 month old baby is allergic to most sunscreens. We have tried the expensive brands (california baby, blue lizard, jason's, etc) that claim to be "natural, and he has broken out in a horrible rash each time. Not so with this stuff - it is as gentle as water on his difficult skin. True, it is not very easy to blend in, but I would rather have a light white sheen to my skin than harsh chemicals!
This product worked very ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 6/18/07This product worked very well on my sensitive skin. I bought it for chemical sensitivity, not sun senitivity. The key is to not use too much and you won't turn so white! It just takes a little bit!
I had higher expectations ... by cheryl in Undisclosed on 6/7/07I had higher expectations than this sunblock delivered; not only was my face painted white (almost purple) after application, it broke out terribly the next day. I will keep on searching.
This is actually the best ... by Yolanda in Maspeth, NY on 5/13/07This is actually the best sunblock I ever had. My skin is very sensitive and I hate the greasy/heavy feeling when it comes to sunblock. This sunblock goes on softly and blends into my skin and there is no scent! It doesn't even make me break out! Its great for sensitive skin. Highly suggest. I have yet to get sunburn from this product and I have porcelain skin.
This sunblock is nearly ... by William in Scituate, RI on 5/7/07This sunblock is nearly impossible to blend into your skin. You are left with a white residue, that really does not disappear...all day. Neutrogena's Active 45 is by far my favorite sunblock, and I feel that I cannot even comapre the two, Active is that much better.
