I have to disagree with ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 9/12/04I have to disagree with most of the reviews; I tried this out, and it makes me look pale, pasty-faced, and kind of ghost-like. I thought maybe I wasn't blending it well enough, but I applied it 3 different times, washing my face in between each one and just couldn't get it to blend. Everything else on the package is true; it isn't oily, and it doesn't burn your eyes. But I'm going to have to move on to something else.
Yes, this lotion is thick ... by Eduardo G in Boston, MA on 6/20/04Yes, this lotion is thick and very white! Those with extremely sensitive skin will appreciate it. It is very gentle. I avoid putting chemical-ridden SPF lotion near my eye, except a couple in the Neutrogena line. This is one of them. In addition to protecting your eyes from the sun, it completely gets rid of any dark circles you may have. However, I don't like putting it on my body because it's literally white as make up and I don't want people to think I'm wearing a Halloween costume. If you have sensitive skin, or if you don't care about the whiteness, use it. I prefer other SPF moisturizers from Neutrogena (Ultra Sheer, Healthy Defense), but I'm definitely using a small amount of this around my eye anytime I'm out in the sun. The bottle will last a long time.
This is a good product ... by Heidi in Royersford, PA on 6/14/04This is a good product for sensitive skin types. My skin usually gets red and burns with most sun blocks, but not with this one. It goes on a little heavy, but absorbs pretty well.
I wish I felt the same ... by Michelle R in Sacramento, CA on 6/2/04I wish I felt the same way about this sunblock as the other reviewers. I am rather an aficionado of sunblock, as I wear it EVERY day and constantly try out the new products each year (they keep getting better!). Now, let me tell you why I don't like this sunblock: 1) It SITS on your skin and melts right off after you sweat even slightly and 2) It feels oily the entire time you have it on. Yes, I like the idea of instant protection, but you get that with any titanium dioxide or zinc oxide product. I thought this product was okay when I first tried it, but after trying others I saw that you did not have to put up with melting, oily sunblock to get sun protection! I presently use Banana Boat Sport SPF 50 Ultra Sweatproof for my body and something similar to the "South Beach Sun Sport Zinc Extreme Sunblock" for my face.
This is the best sun ... by Amanda in Studio City, CA on 10/31/03This is the best sun block I've ever used. I am EXTREMELY fair, and have sensitive skin - a really fun combination when searching for skin care products. This one is effective, and has no odor whatsoever (so you don't smell like a pina colada when you go out), and it doesn't feel oily at all. I love it, and keep a bottle at home, at work, and in my car!
This is one of my ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 9/26/03This is one of my favorite products. I use it everyday alone as moisturizer after I wash my face. I have very sensitive skin accompanied by rosacea. My skin would react to any product that smells or has harsh ingredients. Finding the right sun block for my face was very difficult. Even products made for babies did not work because of the heavy scents. I recommend this product to anyone who has sensitive skin and wants moisturizer with sun protection in one.
