Indications

relieves heartburn associated with acid indigestion and sour stomach
prevents heartburn associated with acid indigestion and sour stomach brought on by eating or drinking certain food and beverages

Warnings
Allergy Alert: Do not use if you are allergic to famotidine or other acid reducers.

Do not use

if you have trouble or pain swallowing food, vomiting with blood, or bloody or black stools. These may be signs of a serious condition. See your doctor.
with other acid reducers.

Ask a doctor before use if you have

had heartburn over 3 months
heartburn with lightheadedness, sweating, or dizziness
chest pain or shoulder pain with shortness of breath; sweating; pain spreading to arms, neck, or shoulders; or lightheadedness
frequent wheezing, particularly with heartburn
unexplained weight loss
nausea or vomiting
stomach pain

Stop use and ask a doctor if

Your heartburn continues or worsens

you need to take this product for more than 14 days

If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use.

I'd definitely recommend Pepcid AC to others. It was very easy to use, and taking it as little as 15 minutes before I ate would still control my acidic reactions. What could be easier than popping a little pill before you eat and not having to worry later if what you ate will aggravate you for the rest of the evening? Two thumbs up from this consumer!!!

I've used the product before and after meals on several occasions to see which was more effective. I found that no matter when I take it, its effectiveness is just as good. As I'm getting older, I find more and more foods seem to upset my stomach and cause lots of gas pockets in my system. Since using this product, I haven't had any trouble whatsoever! It's just wonderful -- only wish I had this years ago. This is one product that I'll be sure to use from now on.

Pepcid AC worked very well for me. It worked especially well if I took it before bed when I had heartburn at night. I took it before eating tomato-based or spicy foods and it prevented the heartburn from even starting! I'd highly recommend this product! The tablets fit easily into a pocket or purse! I liked that too!

Pepcid is one of my favorite antacids. It comes in a convenient pill form so you don't have to swallow or chew any bad tasting medicine. It doesn't work as fast as some of the other products but it's much more reliable. I've never had to take more than one dose of Pepcid whereas some of the others I've had to take several times before I had complete relief.

to relieve symptoms, swallow 1 tablet with a glass of water
to prevent symptoms, swallow 1 tablet with a glass of water at any time from 15 to 60 minutes before eating food or drinking beverages that cause heartburn
do not use more than 2 tablets in 24 hours
