My wife and I take four caps per day two in the morning (breakfast) and two at evening meals. Has lowered our cholesterol and triglycerides to their lowest in years. No side effects - good for those with muscular aches from the prescribed drugs. This product has an excellent rep and their product is always top quality.

My husband and I have been taking this for years, instead of statins, and it's reduced our cholesterol to manageable levels. Terrific product (and our docs are in support of it, too... especially given the results).

This supplement helps lower your LDL Cholesterol without lowering your HDL (good cholesterol) as well. It does not have the negative side effects which can sometimes occur with statins.

My doctor gave me a choice when it came to dealing with my surprisingly high cholesterol: take a statin (and be on that forever) or try red yeast rice. I'm glad I opted for the latter.
I did my research to find the product with the highest bioavailable amount of naturally-occurring statin, since not all red yeast rice capsules are not created equally. That's how I found Healthy Origins Cholestene.
Last summer's HDL / LDL = 59 / 177. Six months later 71 / 130. Yes, the "bad" cholesterol dropped 47 points. And that was with me taking 2 capsules once per day instead of 2 twice per day.
The upshot? No prescription needed. I just ordered a new supply of these capsules. I hope they keep on making them!

I take 3 cholestene day - 1 in the morning and 2 in the evening. This supplement has helped me to reduce my cholesterol without taking statins. The statins reduced my LDL but also reduced my HDL. This products did not reduce the HDL and helped my triglyceride count as well. I would highly recommend it.

Every Cholesterol med the doctor put me on gave me negative side effects. A relative suggested I try this product. The doctor was skeptical but advised me to give it a shot, it couldnt hurt and what did I have to lose. I already ate pretty healthy to begin with so the only change I really made is that I began taking it as directed for 3 months. Results are my BAD LDL dropped 27 points, and my GOOD HDL went up 4 points. I LOVE THIS STUFF AND AM RECOMMENDING IT TO EVERYONE THAT I KNOW.
