Only cover opening of the ear. Do not insert in ear canal. Silicone ear plugs are safe when used as instructed. Keep away from infants. If swallowed, the plugs are non-toxic, but may intervere with breathing if caught in windpipes. Do not spread silicone plugs too thin. Avoid contact with hair and oil based lotions. If you push a silicone ear plug into your ear canal, do not try to remove it yourself. Do not use tweezers, cottonswabs or other devices as these may push the plug further into the ear canal. See an Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) Physician as they have the proper instruments and skill to remove the plug safely. A silicone plug in the ear canal for a short time may be harmless, providing you do not attempt to remove the plug yourself and accidentally push it deeper into the opening. For noise environments dominated by frequencies below 500 Hz, the C-weighted environmental noise level should be used. Improper fit of this device will reduce its effectiveness in attenuating noise. Consult the instructions for proper fit. Although hearing protectors can be recommended for protection against the harmful effects of impulsive noise, the Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) is based on the attenuation of continuous noise and may not be an accurate indicator of the protection attainable against impulsive noise such as gunfire. The Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) calculated from the attenuation data is 21 dB. Hearing protectors must be properly fitted to attenuate noise effectively. Refer to instructions. |
