I didn't get any bumps from this product- a definite plus. However, it didn't get all the hair out. On my legs it took multiple applications in one area just to get all the hair. On my face this wasn't such a problem, possibly because removing all the hair in one go isn't such a good idea. I think this is a good product for facial waxing, but not body waxing.

I used Poetic Waxing today for my first try at a DIY bikini wax. Wow, was I impressed! While it did take a long time to warm on the stove and was a little messy, it was very pleasant smelling and easy to use. The color made it really easy to see where it was being applied. Removal was nearly painless (there were, admittedly, a couple of spots that hurt), and it grabbed nearly every hair. It was so nice to do a waxing on my own time and in the privacy of my own home. Will definitely buy again, highly recommended!

This IS the best wax I have ever found and I have been doing this at home a long time. To the person who said it breaks off every 1" or so, that means you didn't have it at the correct temperature. If you melt it to the correct consistency, the entire strip will pull off at once. Takes practice to get it right - not too runny, but not too cold/hard either. Once you get that figured out - it is the best! Shrink wraps and grabs every hair. I can get most places w/one pass. I think it would work great for Brazilian bikini - but I'm trying to imagine how to do that on yourself at home. I guess I'm just not acrobatic enough! LOL

I have tried several Brazilian type at home wax kits and this, by far, is THE BEST! This wax grabs hair like no other with a quick and (mostly) painless release... as long as you put enough of the pre-wax lotion on beforehand. Cotton balls seem to work the best for application of the pre- treatments so that you don't get too much of either on. If you warm the wax up so that it's the consistency of warm honey (a little more runny than usual) and let it cool for a minute or two it's easier to handle and will stay warm until you're done (at least for a Brazilian wax). I haven't had any of the problems some other reviewers have had as long as you follow the directions included in the box. The only con I have is that it is not microwaveable so it definitely takes longer to heat it up than any other kit and you can't use it say in a dorm room... but the results alone are worth it

I've been using this kit for years and love it. It's expensive, initially, but you can now buy wax refills, as well as refills for the cleansing lotion and oil, separately. Just pop this on the stove about 30-45 minutes before you're ready to wax, cleanse and prepare your skin, wax, and you're done. No strips, no redness. I use it on my brows and upper lip and it's very effective and gentle. It also gets every hair, from wispy to coarse. One kit lasts me about 6-9 months.

It sure beats having to pay to have it done in the salon! It gets the hair off and keeps it off for a long time. I use it for my eyebrows and other than the fact that you can easily get it in your eyes; it does a great job of getting the hair off. It just takes a little time to get used to the handling, warming, etc. but I would definitely recommend it!

I had a terrible experience trying to use this product. But let's start on a positive note. This wax is definitely less messy than most of the other ones I've used, with the exception of some gel-based water-soluble ones. But that's not surprising considering what it is (or at least, what it looks like) - which is, candle wax! It feels just like candle wax in consistency. When you peel it off, it breaks at about every inch, just like candle wax would. It misses a lot more hair than regular wax does. It does not give you a 100 uses like some of the other reviews point out. I was barely able to do both legs. Using it is ultra painful. It solidifies really fast and I can't believe that anybody would actually recommend this over regular wax given that it comes at thrice the price.

Love, Love, Love this stuff! I've used one kit over 20 times (mostly brows/lip but also underarms and bikini) and still have a little left over. Tip: you'll have to keep it under a heat source at a low temperature the entire time you're waxing to keep the wax melted. Other than that, follow the instructions and you'll be happily hair free.

I'm bewildered by all the rave reviews. It just takes so long to get a decent wax with this stuff because you can't keep it at the right temperature for more than few minutes at a time. Took me most of an afternoon to do my legs. I won't even admit how long it took to do a very poor job on my bikini area.

This is a fantastic waxing kit! I was having a hard time squeezing in time to get to the salon so I decided to try one of these at home kits. I'm hooked! I won't be going back to the salon anytime soon. I love the colored wax so I can see where it's going and it gets rid of all of my unwanted hair. It's easy to use and so convenient! You NEED this!
