I feel really disappointed with this cleanser. It smells great, like orange, at first. But then it smells really bad when I start massaging my face. It works like a cleansing oil rather than a cleanser. It leaves skin greasy and does not remove make up or dirt. When I use my toner I still get a lot of make up on my skin. I dont feel my skin clean after using it

I put this on when my face is dry and rinse with water or use a wash cloth. I've used it for years. I have dry, sensitive skin, and I love the way this cleanser does not dry out my skin.

I have fairly dry skin, and this keeps me from breaking out. I'm 66 and have been using this product for about 10 years. I wouldn't use anything else.

Simply put, the stuff doesn't tear a layer off your face, so you get clean, but keep some of your skin oils. Don't look for the squeak when you are done, it works because it balances you out but doesn't overdry. I didn't have terrible skin, but I'm down from weekly bad zits to one or two a year. Even better, my sister in law is off her Rx stuff now that she's on this. I also like that everything it is more or less edible (I keep extras in the fridge since I buy in bulk and had one go bad once). Worth a shot for most skin types.

I usually love anything Burts Bees, so I was surprised that I do not love this face wash. It does have little scrubby things that are good for the environment (i.e., not plastic balls), but my face felt greasy after I used it, and like the product didn't rinse off entirely. Great smell though, and a little goes a long way.

It has a really pleasant orange peel + mild soap smell. But it doesn't feel like a cleanser - not gel, not cream, doesn't foam, and it has a thick texture like honey! It left greasy feel after rinse, even on my hands, and I had to use my regular cleanser after this.

If you like Burt's Bees products, you'll probably like this cleanser. It's gentle, non drying, and cleanses well. I use this to clean sunblock and makeup with no problems. It leaves some moisture on the skin so for some users it may feel not thorough. I gave it three stars because like all BB's products, it's overpriced for what it is. The biggest complaint is the stale smell. It's not a fresh citrus scent, but more of an old jar of marmalade sitting around kind of smell. It almost smells like a product that went bad.

I purchased this face wash hesitantly because I'm used to buying cleansers that strip the oils in order to get that squeaky clean feeling. I decided to try something different and I'm glad I did! Although it took a while to get used to the feeling of moisture on my skin, I love the texture it leaves ALL DAY LONG.

I usually do the warm water, lather clean but with this I went with a warm washcloth and rub in circles around my face and neck. I'm afraid to get it in my eyes so I use make-up remover (Yes to Carrots Makeup removing cleanser) just around the eyes. Feels great and refreshing!
