I really like this product. It cleans my skin, but my skin is left feeling soft, not overly tight. I use it twice a day, and I haven't had a major breakout in a long time. It smells good, it does the job, and it is inexpensive. It doesn't get any better than this product!

I really loved this face wash at first. My face felt so soft and clean after I used it. I even liked the scent! After using it for about 3 days, I got a HUGE, very painful boil on my cheek. I never get zits unless I'm super stressed out (and even those are tiny), and I have never had a boil in my life until after using this product! I've decided to stick with what works for me: washing my face with unscented Dove or Kiss My Face soap and using pure T.N. Dickinson's witch hazel afterwards.

I had been using Johnson's Purpose soap for the last 9 years, while I was happy with it I wanted to try something new. However, I needed to make sure it was sensitive enough for my skin; I have sensitive skin that is acne prone. I took Accutane 9 years ago as well and it really cleared my skin, but I still get some breakouts on occasion. So, I decided to try this Cetaphil for normal to oily skin and it works great! My skin feels soft and clean and is staying clear. Sometimes change is good and I'm glad I switched, I have a feeling I'll be using this product for years to come! Thanks for making such a great product at a reasonable price! Sometimes less is more. I have a feeling this bottle will go a long way! Thanks again.

I was quite keen on using this product because I had some knowledge that Cetaphil products were gentle and wonderful for the skin. However, when I tried it, the scent was horrible and overpowering. It smelled very strong and wasn't to my taste. I prefer and recommend Cetaphil's Gentle Skin Cleanser to this one.

I started using this cleanser about 6 weeks ago upon recommendation of my dermatologist. He wrote me a prescription for Retin-A and said that Cetaphil would be the best way to prepare my skin for the Retin-A because the ingredients in Cetaphil won't interact with the medicine. I chose the 'Normal to Oily' cleanser because I have combination skin. I must say that this cleanser is one of the few out there that truly controls oil and shine in the oily areas without over drying the normal areas. The quick, noticeable results that I'm seeing with the Retin-A indicates that the Cetaphil is really doing a great job at properly preparing my skin before application of the medicine. With all that said though, these reviews are all purely subjective. I wish there was a 'one size fits all' solution when it comes to facial cleansers, but it's not that simple. Unfortunately when it comes to things like this, a lot of it is just shopping around.

I have combination to oily skin type. I break out mostly from hormonal acne and a few occasional red bumps around the nose area. I got a recommendation for this cleaner from my dermatologist. I recommend this cleaner for those who are using topical skin medications. It is very gently yet refreshing. It helps remove surface oil. However, if you are looking for a lathering cleanser then this is not for you. However, you still get the same benefits of a gentle cleanser for oily skin. My dermatologist recommended this after going to him about my acne. He told me to use this along with the medication he gave me. My skin began to clear up and now I am off the medication. I use the Cetaphil cleanser and have never been happier with my complexion. Plus it's cheap...you can't lose with this cleanser.

I absolutely love Cetaphil facial cleanser for normal to oily skin. Having used expensive department store brands almost my whole teenage life and partly into my 20's, I realized you're just paying for the brand names. This does what it says; cleanses without drying, does not leave residue, and its moisturizer "binds water to the skin". Finally, great skin care..

I had been using the Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser for almost ten years, and while it was a life saver in the winter, I found that my oily skin didn't feel quite clean in the summer. I needed something stronger for the warmer months and I am so glad Cetaphil came out with this formula for those of use with oily complexions. It cleans my face so well but doesn't leave it feeling stripped. So, gentle skin cleanser in the winter, daily facial cleanser in the summer!!

I did not like using this cleanser at all! It has a masking fragrance added to it that smells bad! The consistency of the formula is also very poor in that it doesn't control oil very long, and it doesn't really feel like your face is truly clean afterwards!
