This is a fantastic product for my skin type in the colder months. I have oily, blemish-prone skin with large pores, but harsher products dry me out. It is even worse in the winter I live in Upstate New York, in a small town only ten minutes from the shores of Lake Ontario, which means I see a lot of wind, low temperatures, and a LOT of snow for several months out of the year. My normal skin cleanser (Eucerin) is perfect in the muggy summer, but much too harsh for the winter, so I tried this. I was skeptical because it doesnt have an acne fighter, but it is perfect. My skin is clean, not stripped, stays clear, and my pores are refined. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars, is that I did find I needed to wash three times a day to keep from being an oil slick, as this does nothing for shine or day-long oil control for those with very oily skin like mine. Otherwise, its perfect!

If I could I would give this product 10 stars! I began using it a few years ago, at the age of 50. I've had oily skin and moderate acne breakouts since I was 12 years old. Believe me, I've tried EVERYTHING! Within two weeks my face was totally acne free for the first time since I was a kid, and it's stayed clear! If they ever stop making this stuff I'll hit all the stores and hoard every bottle I can find. NOTE: I once switched to Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, which I thought would be similar, but the breakouts came back! Everybody's different, but that's my story.

I'm a sucker for advertising and I'm always trying new products for my face but I always return to this product because it works the best for me. Other products say they are made for sensitive skin, but Cetaphil really is the gentlest out there. I am now going to try the skin cream because the other products dried it out.

I have oily yet sensitive skin. This product left my skin with that "stripped" feeling. It also left my skin with a burning sensation. Everyone's skin is different, and what doesn't work for me works very well for others. However, if you have oily skin that is also sensitive, I would not recommend this cleanser.

Let's be honest, do you care about a product's consistency or smell if it really works? No. This product is for oily skin; therefore those who do not have oily skin will feel taught and dry. My face was breaking out and peeling from using an Aveda cleanser with Salicylic Acid that was over-priced and over-hyped. This cleanser has calmed and cleared my sensitive-acne skin. Thank you Cetaphil!

I would not buy this item again. I have very sensitive skin, and have been looking for a gentle but thorough cleanser. This irritated my face, and I also broke out from it. The smell is very strong for a supposed mild item, and it also stung my face. It did rinse cleanly, though. I prefer an all-in-one cleanser that removes makeup too, but this was not good at all on even light eye makeup.

This stuff is wonderful and scent-free. It's the only cleanser that does the job. I highly recommend it.

I started using this product at the suggestion of an article in a beauty magazine. I felt I had tried almost every other product out there to help clear up my sensitive, acne prone skin so I decided to try it. I am so glad I did! It has done great things for my skin! It cleared up my acne, doesn't irritate my skin, and it keeps it smooth. It doesn't work in the traditional way that soap does and it almost put me off but I kept using it and was so glad I did. I'd recommend this to anyone!

I would only recommend this product to someone who enjoys the stinging, astringent type of cleanser. I really enjoy the original Cetaphil liquid facial cleanser, and was eager to try out this new brand when it came out on the market. However, it left my face dry and taut feeling in an uncomfortable way, and has a medicinal smell that is disgusting. Though I have the skin type this product was produced for, I much prefer the other type of Cetaphil, because it doesn't make me hate my face.

This does a very effective job at cleaning make-up and oil off my skin. I haven't had a breakout since using it about a year ago. The only problems one may find is that this cleanser doesn't foam, and the smell is more medical than pretty.
