I was using the regular "Hope in a Jar" and I loved it too, but felt I needed a little more moisture since I have a "mature" face! This does the trick. It really makes my skin feel smooth. I use the regular Hope in Jar in the morning and the "dry skin" Hope in a Jar at night. Would highly recommend this to all. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

I'm in my early 40's and I really needed that extra something to smooth my skin, take care of my dry spots, but not cause break-outs. The texture is much thicker than the regular hope in a jar. But while I like the smell of the regular one, this smells like wet cardboard to me. Whereas the regular hope in a jar is whipped, this one has more substance and seems to provide better protection. Its heavenly lavender scent is quite calming. I have a very difficult time finding the right moisturizer as I am extremely sensitive (not enough moisture and my skin becomes tight, flakey & irritated; too much and I become an oily, slick mess and break out), and this has made all of the difference. The exfoliating action keeps me clear as well. It feels light going on, but keeps my hydrated all day - even in the middle of winter in New York City! This is the only moisturizer that I actually used up the whole jar and bought another one. It is thick and luxurious, yet not overly moisturizing in the summer. Never leaves my skin oily - always luminous and moist. And I absolutely LOVE the smell - smells like lavender, and I find it very natural and herbal (because it is).
