I have combination skin, and in the winter time it becomes especially dry. I LOVE this moisturizer because it absorbs into the skin and doesn't leave your face feeling oily. It's just the right amount of moisture for my skin, and works great under makeup (I use bare escentuals and it's great under the minerals.)

I have oily/combo skin so I was afraid that this would be greasy and cause breakouts. Usually I use hope in a bottle, but discovered with the colder days and indoor dryness, I needed a moisturizer that was more hydrating. I started using the original hope in jar thinking this would suffice, but it didn't. I decided to give this a try with some trepidation that it would be too greasy for my skin type. To my satisfaction, it's been a great winter moisturizer for me. Very hydrating without being oily/greasy. No breakouts and my skin looks supple and fresh. For day, I mix in the vitamin C topical powder with it. Highly recommended.

Great moisturizer, especially for the cold winter days. I suffer from dry skin, especially in the winter when my regular moisturizer does not do the job...I found my skin feeling tight and decided to give this a try. I have been using it for a month now and the tightness I feel immediately goes away. Before this product, I had to resort to using Keri Lotion on my face because I could not find any facial moisturizer that would do the job. I feel this moisturizer is great during the winter season; however I would not recommend it during the summer or in warmer climates as I think it may be too heavy. I only gave it 4 stars because of the price, but a little goes a long way.

This product has worked very well on my skin. In my 58+ years of living, I developed some age spots on my face. I use a self-tanner in the summer, and those spots became much more noticeable. Within a few days of using this product, (in conjunction with the great mystery daily facial), those spots lightened considerably! I was delighted with these results. The skin on my face has become dryer over the years, and this is the first moisturizer I've ever used where I am aware of the moisturizing effects all day long. It is not at all greasy, and my skin definitely looks hydrated. I am purchasing my second jar today!

Works GREAT; smells bad. This product really does all it claims and more. But unfortunately, the scent is quite strong and leans toward having a chemical smell. When you first open the jar, it is less offensive. But once it has been exposed to oxygen/air, it starts to change scent rather quickly. Frankly, the smell was so strong and obnoxious that it actually woke me up one night and I had to get up and wash it off.

This product has changed my life--or at least the life of my skin! I've tried a ton of other brands (Clinique, Origins, Oil of Olay, Nivea, etc.), and none of them worked for my skin like philosophy's hope in a jar. I've suffered from overly sensitive, flaky skin and eczema for years, and I noticed changes within hours after using this moisturizer. It is light, yet moisturizes deeply without leaving an oily residue. This has truly been a miracle product for me. I love it!

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! I have been suffering from extremely dry cracking skin for a very long time especially in the winter months. Since I started using this product over a year ago- I've had no problems. You see results almost immediately- your skin starts getting softer and smoother within a week and I just can't be without it! No more flaky skin for me! Thank goodness for philosophy.

I have very dry skin, especially in the wintertime, and have had difficulty with my makeup appearing cakey. This moisturizer makes my face feel so smooth and hydrated. My makeup now looks very smooth. I'm a believer!!

FINALLY! I have found a daily moisturizer that actually does what it says it will do! And trust me, I have tried a bunch! I have been using this product for about a week now and I couldn't be happier. For someone who suffers from very dry skin, I cannot believe how great this product makes my skin feel. It works great with the "hope and a prayer" vitamin C powder, and smells nice too - possibly ylang ylang? - Yum. :) I definitely recommend, "hope in a jar for dry sensitive skin" for anyone with dry to very dry skin. You won't be disappointed.
