I guess I would say I have combination skin in my t-zone and dry sensitive skin elsewhere including my cheeks. I usually opt for sensitive prone skin moisturizers but in this case, I think I would have done better with the regular version of Hope in a Jar. The scent really bothered me, I don't know what it is, but it just smelled a bit off from the day it arrived. I think this is the first time I've ever had clogged pores across my nose. Yuck. I've always felt lucky with being blessed with clear skin albeit a bit dry and occasionally red areas... but I've never had oily skin and I've fortunately never had noticeable pores and/or clogged pores. Until now. I think I just need to stick with only using this moisturizer during winter months and/or on especially dry areas of my face. I've been trying to wait it out and use it up before I purchase my next face cream but don't think I can make it. My face just needs a change!

I have skin which gets dry a lot, and most other moisturizers tend to irritate it and fail to moisten. This one however lasts. It is so gentle on my skin. I use it before bedtime, as that is when I need it most, and I wake up with baby soft skin. It's worth every penny.

I have rosacea and super dry skin. This is the best moisturizer I've ever tried (and I've tried them ALL). My skin is no longer inflamed, it's smooth and clear and rosy. No need to use blush any more and no need to use a ton of base to cover the redness. I use this with the Purity Made Simple cleanser.

Philosophy Hope in a Jar, Dry-Sensitive Skin Formula works incredible! I was having the hardest time getting my face to look balanced after having my child. It has a very light scent...and believe me, it has to be light or my face stings! I would recommend this to everyone!

This product was recommended to me by a makeup artist. She said she uses Hope in a Jar on all her clients (except those with very oily skin) before makeup application because it absorbs quickly, and it nicely smoothes and plumps the skin. She was right - I purchased the product for myself, and my combination skin, which gets dry in the winter, soaked this stuff up like a sponge. And my makeup was looking great on my soft, smooth skin. Until one day it didn't look so great... I was starting to get little red bumps where pores were getting clogged on my cheeks, and the pores on my nose were clogged and really yucky. I stopped using Hope in a Jar for a week, and my skin went back to normal. I'm disappointed because the product really does feel so good going on. I'm going to use the rest of the jar as a spot treatment for dry patches and I won't replace it when it's empty.

YUK!!! Philosophy makes great products, but not this one. It smells really bad - very medicinal. Not only does it stink, but it didn't moisturize as well as I expected. There are far better products out there!

I have combination skin and if I use this in my T-zone I find it a little "greasy" but on my dry cheeks it's a Godsend!!

This product says it is for dry skin so if you don't have dry skin, you may find this product makes your skin feel oily and you may experience break-outs. If your skin already has it's own oils, this product will naturally lay on top of your own and may cause some breakouts, however.... If you have dry skin. THIS IS, let me say again.... THIS IS THE PRODUCT FOR YOU!!!! It moisturizes and also provides the essential oils to calm dry skin. This product gets a perfect score from me.
