I had always used Caress or Olay bar soap as they were easy and smelled nice. However, I brought this with me on a mini vacation a few months ago and used it for the first time. I was amazed at how beautiful it smelled (I am very picky about fragrance and usually only like very clean scents). To ME, the scent is similar to Bath & Body Works Velvet Tuberose, but a lot lighter & more feminine, or a little like their old 24/7 Breathe Romance. The closest perfume scent (to me) is Estee Lauder Pleasures pure perfume, but again, this scent is a little lighter. There is also a lot of rich lather after applying it to a puffy bath sponge. I tried applying it using a wash cloth and there was no lather at all, so definitely use some type of sponge or bath gloves (my exfoliating bath gloves are the best with this)!! In addition to the heavenly, soft, feminine smell, it also leaves my skin very clean, soft, and more moisturized than any bar soap. Drugstore.com was slightly cheaper so I ordered 2 bottles. After all the time I spent looking for it, to me, it's just another shower product. It does have a nice, clean smell, but it's nothing to rav about and not worth $16.oo a bottle. I get allergies from many soaps and lotions, but have never had a problem with this product or any of the Philosophy line. Amazing Grace is my signature scent. It is not overpowering in any way and layering the fragrance with all the wonderful product line makes me feel like a million! This has scent, but not much and it certainly doesn't last. Not going to purchase Philosophy anymore until I see feedback that the scent has gone back to what it was.

Comments about philosophy amazing grace shampoo, bath & shower gel, 16 fl oz: I love the fact that I can eliminate products in my shower and have this one for everything...excellent shampoo and it smells great...love the lather for bathing...I follow it up with Amazing Grace body cream and people always ask what I am wearing for perfume...it is clean and not overpowering and my very favorite product. One bottle lasts about 4-5 months so it is also very affordable and I save a ton on shampoos and body wash/soaps. I use the travel size for trips as I do not want to be without it!
