The Avalon Organics lavender shampoo (and conditioner) is fantastic! It lathers well and leaves hair really clean, bouncy and very shiny. I was looking for hair products without sodium laurel sulfate that actually worked and I think I've found them in the Avalon lavender shampoo and conditioner. I also like that the lavender scent is light and not fruity (my boyfriend likes it too!). I have just finished my first set of bottles and will definitely be repurchasing both.

This shampoo cleans very, very well. I like to dilute it to make it last even longer. I have an oily, dandruff-y scalp, and this keeps it in check without being too harsh. I love the matching conditioner too.

I've had a problem with "natural" shampoos not cleaning the build-up out of my hair, but this shampoo is great. I have fine, curly hair and this keeps it nice and soft without weighing it down or making it frizz. (I use the lavender conditioner too.) My boyfriend loves how it makes my hair smell.

I LOVE THIS SHAMPOO. I have been looking for a shampoo that is not loaded with irritating chemicals (which weigh down and build up on my hair, making it difficult to style), and heavy synthetic fragrances, but also foams well (by only using a small dime/nickel size drop), without paying salon prices. I have finally found it. This shampoo cleans my straight but thick hair without stripping it (or making it squeaky), and leaves it soft and fluffy. Mostly, I love the real lavender smell, which makes me want to never come out of the shower.

I really like both the shampoo and the conditioner. They have a good herbal smell and leave my hair soft but not weighed down. I'd change the review to 5 stars if the price came down, or the bottle got a little bigger.

I bought this shampoo because I had noticed my hair falling out a bit too much. After using this for a few days, my hair fell out WORSE than it was before and had no life. My curls turned to frizz and my hair felt dry. Maybe it's simply my hair type (dry-ish) but either way, I've wasted my money. I'm back to my regular shampoo and my hair is falling out less.

I have used this shampoo with the conditioner for over a year. I have naturally curly hair, which I straighten daily. This shampoo keeps my hair shiny and strong. However, I would not recommend using it without the conditioner.
