My mother has this soap for her 4 Labrador retrievers. She sends it with the dogs when she takes them to get bathed. That is how much she likes the smell. I bought it for my Labrador for the same reason, the smell. I was in a hurry to give him a bath because I had no one to help me hold him. I just ran a streak down his back and started lathering it up. I soaped him up in only a few rubs. He did not like getting bathed since it was a little on the cool side and the water was ice cold. I had him washed and rinsed in 5 minutes flat, if that. The next time I give him a bath it will be nice and sunny out and the water will be warmer... I hope. I love the smell, the lather and especially the dog on the bottle!!!

My little terrier pup loves her baths and this shampoo smells great, leaves her coat clean and shiny, without irritation or hot spots. It rinses off easily and I'd recommend you try it.

This is the absolute best dog shampoo ever. I don't know what the person who gave it one star did wrong. I have been using this on my Yorkie for almost three years and it makes his hair so soft, his skin never ever gets dry or flaky, and he smells really good. I would suggest also using the Buddy Wash conditioner that they make because it makes the hair so easy to comb, and Yorkie hair is not the easiest to take care of when it's long. Buy this... you will not be sorry!!

I used this shampoo on my dog only once, and he smelled like a wet dog for 2 days; well, like a wet dog in a lavender field. Then I washed him again with his usual shampoo, the horrible smell went away, but the dog developed a skin infection. Eventually it cleared up. I threw the rest of the shampoo away, because I could not even think of giving it to someone. I cannot honestly recommend it.

This shampoo is perfect for our 85 pound yellow lab. It smells really nice and pretty much gets rid of that horrible wet-dog smell, which other shampoo scents just seem to co-mingle with. We're getting rid of as many toxic chemicals in our household as possible, and that includes cheap, mainstream dog shampoos that don't work, as well. As others have noted, I've noticed our dog does not race around the room after her bath (as if to try to out-run the smell of the shampoo) as she used to do. I think she tolerates the scent better, too.

Great performance and scent with this product. It was easy to distribute through my Australian Shepherd's and German Shepherd's coats. Will definitely repurchase and maybe try out the conditioner as well next time.

This product is just not that great. I give it an 'average' rating. There is no great scent. It does leave coat nice and cuts down on static electricity.

Love this shampoo (and conditioner). It definitely leaves our pups soft and nice smelling. I also find that it keeps them this way for longer than other shampoos I have tried. Really the best shampoo/conditioner we have used for the doggies (besides perhaps Origins doggy shampoo- which is ridiculously expensive).
