I have used nearly a dozen different brands and formulations of shampoo bars, and this one was the absolute worst - though I love Burt's otherwise! This bar left my hair such a sticky and straw-like mess no matter what I tried. I would not recommend this bar for anything longer than a crew cut.

I really wanted to like this product, but it was just too drying. I have medium length oily hair, but after 3 or 4 days of using this it was dry as a stick ready to burn. I stored this on a small shelf outside the tub; if you didn't have somewhere dry to keep it that could be a problem. Lathered well and would be good for travel or very short hair.

I like to use it in the summer when my hair is oilier. If you have hard water, this may not be the shampoo for you. It is best on short to medium length hair. Otherwise, your hair may tangle. Great for travel and lathers nicely.

This shampoo bar is great. I was totally skeptical but it actually works really well. It doesn't feel as nice when you're actually washing your hair (because it doesn't have any of the chemicals that normal shampoos do, to make your hair ultra smooth) but it makes your hair incredibly soft and cleans really well. Highly recommended for people with medium or short hair that is relatively undamaged!

I have tried this product when I had short, spiked hair. It worked great, especially to remove the dulling gels, pomades, and other types of products I used daily to make my fine, soft hair stand up. It is most certainly NOT for long, extra-long or extremely dry hair. It works best on normal to oily hair (hence the rosemary + mint) and my dad uses it daily on his hair now. It is fantastic for clipper cut hair and buzz cuts. The smell is marvelous and the lather is wonderful. We cut slabs off to use a little at a time, it saves on reordering so often. It lasts a lot longer when using on shorter/buzzed off hair that way too. It will not get the entire bar wet in shower. Wish I could give it 10 stars. All Burt's Bees products are best!

This soap suds up a lot better than other bar shampoos I've tried but it does leave a bit of residue so I wouldn't use it every day. I like the scent.

I love Burt's Bees products, but hated this. It really dried out my fine hair and made it extremely limp.

I do love Burt's Bees, but I do not love this shampoo bar. It does have a great scent and makes lots of lather. But I do not like the "waxy" feeling it left behind when my hair dried. I won't be using it again, but it might be nice for guys with very short hair.

Great product. It DOES feel different at first. It has left my limp, fine hair with exceptional body and manageability. I will continue to buy this product.

I was given a Burt's Bees sample pack for Xmas 2 years ago. I have used it every day for both shampoo and body soap ever since. I have very thick hair (ALWAYS draws a comment when I get it cut!) and wear it short. We have very soft water here, but I travel a lot on a boat, and we mostly get very hard water. It leaves my hair feeling a bit 'straw' like when wet but it dries soft and managable. I never blow dry, colour, or perm. My skin is left soft - my husband comments on it all the time. Talk about convenient - no spill, one product for shampoo/conditioner/soap. I recommend you at least try it for a couple of weeks.
