This bar smells really awful, and turned to mush after awhile in my soap container in the shower. I'll stick with liquids!

I have tried several times to use this product and I just do not like it. It leaves my hair stiff and still felling dirty. I do not recommend this product.

I used this once; I received it in the starter kit and I was so unhappy with it. It didn't lather or even clean my hair. I got of the shower and my hair was sticky, greasy and wouldn't dry. I threw it away and never looked back. It has a lovely smell and lots of nutrients- I wish it worked (hence the 2 star rating).

I don't know how anyone manages to use this shampoo. It doesn't lather AT ALL. Maybe it's hard water, I don't know. I have very thick, dry wavy hair, and this seemed like the right thing to use because of its all-natural properties. Couldn't get it to lather at all, and could not massage my scalp because it left my hair a tangled mess. DO NOT RECOMMEND if you have long hair. If you have short hair go for it. I've been using it on my dog and his coat looks beautiful, so it's not totally without merit.

I love all of Burt's Bees products I've tried and give them 5's, with the exception of the shampoo bars. I just couldn't use them without getting a waxy residue, no matter how much I rinsed.

I love all of the Burt's Bees products that I have tried so far, and this is no exception. I have shoulder length hair that is a medium texture. The bar takes a few seconds and a little extra water to work up a lather. My hair does feel a little unusual after rinsing, almost a bit tacky or sticky. However, after my hair dries, it is soft, smooth, and has a great shine.

I use this product after I go swimming, garden, jog, or do anything else. I would recommend it to anybody. This is a great product for anybody. From ages 3-100 this product is worth every penny you put into it. I think everybody should buy this product immediately. You will notice the silkiness in your hair from the day you start using it. The smell is wonderful. Everybody should give this product a chance and you will notice the thickness in your hair and fall in love with this product! Start using it today. If I could, I would give this product a million stars.

This product is great. It does get out the residue from other products. You can feel the difference. It may be stripping away natural oils, but I use conditioner anyway. I have never been able to wear my hair naturally wavy before. This product must have taken out the residue that was weighing it down. My hair looks great, and I have been getting so many compliments.

The first time I used this in the shower, I thought it was awful. My hair felt gummy and the bar didn't lather well. Then I rinsed and re-lathered, and the difference was incredible. My hair was squeaky clean and felt totally free from the hair product residue I allowed to build up. Plus, it lathered much better. And after it dried, my hair felt so clean yet it was easy to manage. I now use this at least a couple times a week to remove residue buildup.

This product has good and bad points. It doesn't lather well, and you have to keep it under running water to get any suds. It made my hair feel weirdly squeaky after washing - too much so. It didn't feel good like 'squeaky-clean' does, and I was ready to wash again with regular shampoo, but I thought I'd be brave and let it dry. After I let it dry, the results were surprisingly good. My hair was shiny and looked great. The bar is way more convenient for travel that bulky bottles too. I would only use it if I got the small sample size again in the starter kits (wouldnt buy the regular size on its own), but it's worth a try.
