It isn't overpowering, but lasts for a little while after each use. I always have one in my bathroom, and in my kitchen. I love this soap, and the fact it is paraben free, sls free, etc. It's a nice smelling soap that doesn't dry out my skin with each use. You won't regret trying this! I've bought several bottles of EO soaps (because the soaps themeselves are so good), and well over half the time, the nozzle stops working (or never works to begin with). This is pretty frustrating, considering the relatively high price for the product. I purchased this hand soap because I have purchased EO's French Lavender Shower Gel before and I liked it. I will continue to purchase EO products just not this one. Comments about EO Liquid Hand Soap, French Lavender, 12 oz: I have used both the peppermint tea tree and the lavender scent, and both are fantastic! I always make sure to stock up on this product. We use it in the kitchen and the bathroom. It's gentle on skin and the smell is lovely. This doesn't dry my skin out like other hand soaps with SLS or other skin irritants. This is a great product! I bought several bottles for my sister and a large refill bottle for myself. My sister came to visit and every time she used this soap, she kept smelling her hands and talking about how wonderful this soap smells.
