In the winter it dries out so bad that my hands will crack and bleed. I have tried so many different lotions from prescription to over the counter. Every single product that I have tried makes my hands feel like they are on fire. The moment I put this on my hands they didn't hurt. There was no pain at all. After the second application my hands felt soft and smooth with no chapping at all. The smell is very light and pleasant. I also use it on both my sons after bath time. The moisturizing properties of this lotion are not very good at all for dry skin. It did not do the job for me as a winter moisturizer. The scent reminds me of cheap suntan lotion, which really bothered me throughout the day. Guess it's back to the hunt for a truly moisturizing natural body lotion which has a pleasant scent. The original scent smells great without being too strong, so you can mix it with a scented lotion or perfume. It moisturizes really well without being greasy, keeps your skin soft all day. It smells bad - so bad it gives me a head ache - and is too thick going on. They ruined a good product in my opinion. I won't be buying it again and will have to throw away the three new bottles I bought as each time I try to put it on, tbe smell is too much. Sadly, the new owners "improved" the formula - probably to save money. My search for a new body lotion begins again... It has all the qualities that I look for: moisturizes well, non-greasy, smells great, and is chemical free. Because it is non-greasy, the moisturizing properties don't last all day and usually I have to apply in the morning and then again at night.
