I've had a horrible range of acne that has thankfully lessened from large jaw-lining knobs to scatters of manageable pimples and blackheads. I would like to think, given my years of experience and seemingly endless product trial and error, that I have a valuable opinion when it comes to dealing with the largest organ of the body and it's finicky ways. As I mentioned, I have gradually maturing skin, that has had a hard road with acne. People say you grow out of it. That is an outright lie. Unless you no longer have oil production, allergies, dead skin cells, and stop the hormonal shifts in the body, you are going to have acne. You have to learn how to manage it. First, if you have sensitive skin you need to abolish the use of all scrubs. Often they will just make your acne or blemishes worse. Then you need to find a simple quality wash that you use twice a day. I had fallen into the trap of using multiple products daily in hopes to deal with my multiple skin issues: acne, dry patches, oily patches, sensitivity, sunscreen, etc...I finally got fed up, started from scratch, and did a little research. Don't bother betting a wash with an acne medication in it. It'll just dry you out and isn't on the skin long enough to absorb subcutaneously. Wash, treat, moisturize, and let it be. Seems the less products I use the better off I've been. I found this face wash and brand very affordable, gentle, and effective. It balances out my combination zones; dry parts are not drier, oily doesn't get oilier. I end up with a dewy, healthy complexion. And my light post inflammatory hyper pigmentation (acne scarring), has lightened up dramatically. Hydrated skin heals better than dry skin. This product doesn't leave me feeling tight and dry. I still require a gentle make up remover separate from this if and when I wear any eye make up, but this product does cleanse thoroughly. Works well with other facial products. I'm very satisfied and can see using this down the line as my skin "matures" further. VS Most Liked Negative Review Not for oily skin This is probably best for DRY, sensitive skin. Told they would send a package to return smelly samples for checking. Did not revive package. Called back in two weeks. Wanted to inform them I did not receive the package yet. Before I could, the person told me quality control did not find anything wrong with the samples I sent. Then I explained I did not even send them. Obviously, at least one other person had complained. It removes makeup, even eyeliner and mascara very well. It has helped calm my skin down a bit. I have combination acne prone skin. This also has helped to make my face less oily. Like I said I just use it as a makeup remover not as a treatment for acne. For my acne I use petal fresh botanicals aloe and peppermint face wash. Both this and the PFB wash work well in conjunction to one another. If you have sensitive or acne prone skin give this a try in your daily routine.
