Took me a few days to get used to the scent. It is quite different. But if you love the NATURAL smell of cocoa butter or chocolate then you have nothing to worry about. Buy it!!! It is totally worth it. My doc suggested using Dove soap for my eczema. Nope. Didn't work. But after using the Palmer's Cocoa Butter Bar for just two days all my dryness healed and my skin feels like silk. I want a whole box of this soap!!

Not too drying (wouldn't call it moisturizing though-- not what bar soap is for). Wonderful fragrance-- unique and not too strong.

It smells much better than Shea butter which claims to have similar characteristics as cocoa butter. I think Cocoa butter is much creamier, and smells a lot nicer. This soap gives a very rich lather yet doesn't dry my skin. I sometimes even use it for my hair. It makes my hair soft and clean.

I have used this soap for many years (when I can find it in stores)and love it so much, I received a boxful of it for a gift once! I use it for my face and love the scent and the way it leaves my skin soft.

I draw blood at a blood bank and my hands get really dry from washing them with alcohol based hand gel all day. On top of that my skin is dry and itchy. I love coming home after work and lathering up with this soap. I had never used a Palmer's skin product until I got the liquid hand soap from a local drugstore which prompted me to try the bar soap version. I find that this soap does lather well when I use it in conjuction with the Earth Therapuetics Anti-Bacterial Loofah Sponge. It smells pleasantly like chocolate and coconut but it's not at all overpowering. You can really feel it moisturizing while you're showering. I have ver dry skin, but I hate the feel of lotion and I hate the task of putting lotion on at night and in the morning. When I shower with this, I don't have to use lotion and my skin hasn't itched at all since I been using it.

This product smells so good and comforting, it's very moisturizing. Smells just like the liquid version which I can't find anywhere not even on drugstore.com. It didn't give me any pimples because I wouldn't dare use a cocoa butter soap that contains glycerin on acne prone areas! I use this everywhere except my face and back which are acne prone.
