Having tried many other natural and cruelty-free shaving creams, I have to say that this is not my favorite. The smell is amazing, but that's about the only thing I like. I experimented using every kind of thickness when applying this to my legs and I just couldn't get a close shave. The cream went straight into my razor blades and wouldn't rinse out. It wasn't silky enough for me to feel safe shaving and not worry about cutting myself. My razor felt like it was dragging against my skin rather than gliding. Maybe it's a different story for men who are having their face, but I would definitely not recommend this for women.

This is a fantastic product by Alba! My husband has very sensitive skin and most products do not work well for him. This product works wonders for him! Also - I'm not sure why people feel that they need to use a lot. The product is not supposed to be thick when you put it on. You only need a thin layer to get the job done. One 8 fl oz. tube lasts for a LONG time in our house!

love it - bought it when they were out of aveeno shave cream and now i won't go back! scent is subtle and not overpowering. feel is clean, moisturizing (without feeling oily - i hate that!) and a nice close shave. I think the lubrication is way better than a traditional shave cream and a little goes a long way. gentle on the bikini area, too. I have sensitive skin, and this works great for me!

If you use a lot, this product won't give you a close shave at all. If you use a teeny bit it will give you the closest shave you've ever had. I never spend a lot of money on beauty products, I go for the generic stuff, but this is one splurge I'm totally willing to make.

My husband and I both use this shave cream. It's very moisturizing and allows you to get a close shave. Plus, the smell is lovely. The other version with lime was irritating to my husband's skin. I definitely recommend the mango vanilla.

Unlike other reviews that said they needed to use a lot, I did not. I found you can use the smallest amount and I did NOT even get any razor burn, which always happens with other creams and lotions. A little goes a long way! I will NEVER shave without this again! After years of nicks and the dreaded underarm razor burn I have finally found a fix. I know it may not work for everyone, but if you haven't found anything that works so far, please give this a shot. I do not have course hair, so this might make a difference. The smell is awesome and the cream left my skin soft. I will be purchasing this again (and again!), as well as the other scents. I felt it was a GREAT deal for the price.

This is not a good shaving cream at all. It does not allow a good, close shave...yet it's easy to cut yourself with it. Plus, you can't even tell where you put it on and where you didn't and need to use large quantities. Not a fan.

This stuff makes shaving a breeze! It IS difficult to tell where you've applied the gel, since it is very much so transparent (which is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5). However, for someone who is very prone to nicks and irritation, this product makes for an easy, comfortable shave every time. It feels like I'm not even using a razor at all... it's THAT smooth!

I am not a fan of this product. I agree with the others that have said you need to apply mass quantities to feel like you're even accomplishing getting anywhere! And even then I couldn't even tell I had applied the stuff!! To me, this should not be marketed as "shaving cream." On the back of the bottle in small font it says, "shave balm" and that is exactly what I would compare it to. It smells nice but it's like using lotion to shave. After using this product, I have to say I prefer KissMyFace for a good cruelty-free shave.
