I've been using the original formula (Palmer's Shea Butter Formula with Vitamin E in the yellow bottle) for years and it's perfect for my sensitive skin. This year, the company has changed the formulation (now in a white bottle, called Palmer's Shea Formula with Vitamin E, Raw Shea Body Lotion) and it's a mess! It has the strong smell of raw shea, and is stickier and not as absorbent as the older formula. Check the reviews on the parent company website - there are many long-time users warning about this change. Most of the reviews here are for the original formula. Drugstore.com, please make sure the product picture, description, name and full details match the details of this new formula - when I ordered, the product name was the same as always and did not reflect the new ingredients. Sorry Palmer's, but I'll be finding a new shea-based lotion for sensitive skin.

I have been using Palmer's Shea Butter as a facial moisturizer for several years and I still love it. It also feels nice after sun/wind exposure. It absorbs quickly and moisturizes very well. The best thing about it is the mild scent-I am very sensitive to strong smells and this has never bothered me. This is good lotion!

This product was disappointing...The fragrance and the fact it has a high concentration of shea butter were enough to sell me on it. The only reason I hesitated was because I usually use a product with a hydroxy acid of some sort to minimize the mild Keratosis Pilaris I have on arms and legs. Shea butter has, however, eased this a little in the past. This stuff just didn't moisturize enough and even seemed drying at times. The worst part was it built up really easily on my skin- even though I shower every day, I could scrape this stuff off with my fingernails unless I scrubbed really hard. Ugh. I tried to use up the bottle, but even that was frustrating- the product is thick and getting the lid off was impossible.

I love this lotion and love the smell. The only downside, I don't like the feel of my hands after using it. Need to use a different hand cream. But it works great on my skin.

I can't recall how I discovered this lotion, but it's one of the few that has shea butter and isn't greasy at all. It absorbs into my skin and is very healing for chapped hands, alligator elbows, and anywhere that's dry. I even use it on my face at night and it seems to reduce redness and leaves my skin soft. It is getting harder to find this lotion, so I hope that they aren't planning to discontinue it - I've been using this for 8 years now and it is my go-to hand lotion! Highly recommended.

This stuff smells like a dessert. It's amazing. It actually contains caramel!

Overall, very nice product. My absolute only complaint is that my skin can be dry by the end of the day.

been using it for 6 months. tried many different deep moisturizing lotions in the past but skin used to itch in winter. hasn't had that problem with this. will stick with it.

I have a lot of half finished and barely used bottles of lotion in my room. I have no doubt in my mind that I will be using the entire bottle of this. It has a nice smell, plus it moisturizes wonderfully. Finally something I can stick with.
