These squares fall apart after about two swipes. Pay the extra, and purchase a brand name item!

The quality of this product has gone downhill. They used to hold up....but not any more. The pad is in shreds by the time my mascara is off. Not good for nail polish remover or astringent, either.

Never had had a problem with any such cotton squares falling apart. But yes, these by RiteAid start falling apart within moments of applying liquid, whether toner or eye make remover. A couple of swipes, and it's in self-destruct.

I use these to apply toner and eye makeup remover every single day. They're not quite as nice as name brand, but they're a lot cheaper and work just fine for me. I don't find that they fall apart. I also appreciate that they're not rough.

As soon as liquid touches the cotton pad, the cotton pad falls apart immediately. It's pointless to use these when taking off makeup, etc...

I use these when I'm removing makeup or nail polish. Their texture is not too rough, and I think the size is just right. I like the fact that I'm not using an actual disposable towel which may last forever in a landfill--so they hold up just right for my purposes. Not sure if this helps, but I think one square removes the polish from one foot. I use non-acetone polish remover and gentle makeup remover. Maybe stronger products wear out the square faster.

They must have changed how they make these. They used to be a very sturdy yet soft product, but now they fall apart as soon as you use them for anything. I will definetly NOT buy these again.

DON'T BUY THESE. They shred immediately. Waste of money.

These cotton squares aren't worth whatever the low price may be. As other reviewers have noted, the squares fall apart as soon as they get damp; I apply a little rubbing alcohol to four at one time to clean my face, and even the thickness of four squares isn't enough to keep them from breaking apart and being useless.

I use this 2x a day for toner and occasionally to remove nail polish. It does the job. I like the more expensive round ones, but these are good for everday use.
