by RK[Verified Buyer] in NYC on 8/19/09
Pros: Effective
Primary use: Personal
Bottom Line: recommended
I use them at home with astringent and to remove nail polish. I don't know why other reviews are bad. I think they are as good as any other cosmetic squares.
Rite Aid Cosmetic Cotton Squares rates 4 out of 5 stars, from 52 customer reviews.Love these little guys

Pros: Better than cotton balls, Easy To Use, Effective, Inexpensive
Describe Yourself: CPR Trained, Parent
Best Uses: Use for my dogs ears, Use nightly when cleaning
Primary use: Personal
Bottom Line: recommended
These are a) inexpensive; b) you may need two of 'em; c) I've never had them disintegrate, either singly or when doubled (I like the feel of 2 better than one for cleaning my face).

These cotton pads are a bit too thin. I use them with my toner for my face and they usually end up with a hole in them by the time I'm done cleaning my face.
Rite Aid Cosmetic Cotton Squares rates 4 out of 5 stars, from 52 customer reviews."I Like Squares!"
by Social Worker Mom[Verified Buyer] in Manorville, NY on 10/1/08
Pros: Easy To Use, Effective, No cotton ball "webs", Soft, Sturdy
Cons: Holds a bit less liquid
Describe Yourself: CPR Trained, Minor beauty product user, Parent
Best Uses: Keep In The Medicine Cabinet, Makeup removal, Nailpolish removal
Primary use: Personal
Bottom Line: recommended
Cotton balls were getting messy, leaving behing strings and "webs", and I found myself using more than one. I happened to see these on the website, and figured I would try them. They are soft, leave no residue behind, and soak up liquid, although maybe not as much as the cotton ball. I will have to use a bit extra. But another great thing is that you can use both sides, and truly only need one square to get the job done. It gets in the corners, and I love that there is no "haze" left over as with cotton balls. I think I will be sticking with the squares! Bye bye balls!
Rite Aid Cosmetic Cotton Squares rates 2 out of 5 stars, from 52 customer reviews.Flimsy but try putting 2 together
by Diana D[Verified Buyer] in Haworth, NJ on 9/17/08
Primary use: Personal
Bottom Line: not recommended
I like to use cotton pads like this for facial scrubs. I was very frustrated with how these fell apart, but then I tried putting 2 of them together and they hold up pretty well. Of course if you use these for lighter duty you might not mind the flimsiness.

These hardly hold up even under the slightest pressure. They fall apart easily. I'll be switching to a different brand, even if it's more expensive.
Rite Aid Cosmetic Cotton Squares rates 1 out of 5 stars, from 52 customer reviews. These fall apart
by Divaconviva[Verified Reviewer] in Albany, NY on 7/28/08
Cons: Ineffective, Messy

Bottom Line: not recommended
I purchased Rite Aid cotton squares because I prefer squares to cotton balls for removing makeup and applying toner; however, THESE cotton squares are worthless! They disintegrate with the first wipe across my face. I will not purchase again!
