Rite Aid Nicotine Transdermal System, Step One, 21mg Patch rates 5 out of 5 stars, from 11 customer reviews.Different reactions for different people
by Grete[Verified Reviewer] in Washington, DC on 3/20/09
Pros: Easy To Use, Effective, Good Value
Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer
Best Uses: Daily Use
My Beauty Routine Takes: 10 Minutes
Bottom Line: recommended
This product could not work any better. I had very minimal cravings from the time I put on the first patch. By the end of the 4th day the minor cravings I did have were gone. Patches will not work for everyone and some can't use use them, any brand, at all. I have extremely oily skin and have never had a patch come off like some describe. Did not have any adverse reactions either. I would highly recommed this product - adverse reactions and other side effects are clearly printed in the material that comes with any of the patches. They may not be the prettiest thing you slap on your arm but I am sure it is prettier than how my lungs look right now after smoking for 25 years and I am not wearing it to make a fashion statement. Try it, if it doesn't work then you try something else.

My Beauty Routine Takes: 10 Minutes

I used this product for a full month to quit smoking. I've relapsed a few times and have only had to use the nicotene patch for a week or so. It's very helpful. I have a drugstore across the street but got a better value from drugstore.com. When I put it on, I get a wide piece of that tape that sticks to itself, so it doesn't hurt when I have to pull it off. No matter what brand of patch I've used, I've used a tape to help keep it on.

Don't waste your money by trying to save dollars on these! Both my husband and I had horrible reactions to these patches. They made us feel sick to our stomachs, headachey, nervous, and at the same time didn't seem to be curbing our cravings for cigarettes. We used the 21 mg. because we're 1-1/2 to 2 pack a day smokers. We were so disappointed we ended up smoking again. We've since switched to the Nicoderm CQ 21 mg. and we're doing great now! This time for sure!!!

These patches won't stay on! I washed the area with soap and water first and dryed thoroughly before applying. I was walking through a parking lot and it fell right off my arm. I tried several patches before I finally had to tape mine on to keep from losing them. By the way they are exactly the same as the Walgreens brand.

It sure wasn't worth trying to save a few bucks. These patches started burning and causing a rash within 15 minutes of putting on. Plus, they are ugly. I've gone back to the Nicoderm as they are great in all respects. Oh well, I tried.

These patches are great. I even took a shower with one on, and it didn't fall off. I am actually wearing them over 24 hours and they're beating the craving. I'm taking it one day at a time, and less expensively with the Rite Aid brand. Good luck to you prospective quitters out there. There's hope!

I tried this patch and it does not work!! I have used the Nicoderm CQ patch and you can feel the "tingle" of the nicotine transfer, this patch had no "tingle". I even went as far as to put on 2 (yes, 2) patches and still there was no "tingle". I say, save your money and get the Nicoderm.

I haven't tried the others so I can't really compare. Did curb the withdraw, but if not applied to a flat area, it tends to come off after 10 -12 hours. Great price compared to others.
