I've always loved Badger Balm products. I purchased the Anti-Bug Balm for use on my 18 month old daughter. She goes outside every day in our wooded yard and is an adventurous bug catcher. The product works great, no bug bites at all. It smells fantastic- like orangey citronella. It rubs in very quickly with no greasy, wet, or tacky after effect. My only complaint is that the container does not go far. After applying every day for 2 weeks we needed to buy more.

this is a must have for our saddle bags. I like it better than traditional equine bug stuff around my horses eyes since its non toxic. as the horse sweats, traditional "goos" will melt and run at least this one, as it melts, doesnt seem to sting. it doesnt last as long (ie not as sweat proof) as the more traditional toxic ones, but that's a tradeoff I'm willing to take. the tin is small and waterprrof so its easy enough to bring along and reapply at our lunch break. it definately keeps flys and gnats out of my horses eyes, making for a quieter ride. it even smells nice (iof you dont mind the nice herbally citronella smell, which I like :)) highly recommended! and hard to find in stores, so I'm delighted to see that drugstore.com carries it. hooray!!

I bought this as a natural alternative to traditional bug sprays and took it with me on my honeymoon to Belize. I wore it the whole time we were there, including on a hike through a rain forest ... and it poured on us half-way through. I didn't have a single bite, but my husband (who didn't think the stuff would work) was covered with bites. I use it now on my baby when we go camping or hang out in the backyard or at the pool. It IS a balm, so be sure to rub it in or it'll be way too greasy and always re-apply after getting really wet. Oh and it lasts forever, just don't leave it in the sun or it melts:)

i ride horse back . in the parks , in wooded trails . bugs are bad . i put this on my horses face , my dog and my self .works all day on all of us , would not ride with out it .

I work at a retail Garden Center watering the plants all day and I apply this balm to keep bugs away and keep from biting me! It works! Nice smell!

This repellent is somewhat effective but putting it on is a mess. So thick and greasy. I won't put it on unless I know a shower is coming up soon.

I took this to Cuba with me. There are vicious mosquitos there and the moment I put this on not one had touched me. This stuff is great and it smells really good too.

This product is awful! If you can get past the overwhelming smell of Citronella to use it, you'll find that it's very greasy and isn't effective in repelling anything except human beings. I tried this in my garden to test it out for a trip to Honduras and found that it actually attracted bees and didn't stop the mosquitoes from coming after me; and had to throw it out. If you're looking for an all-natural, effective bug repellent try Extreme Buzz Away...it works better than anything I've tried and it smells great too!

I've never reviewed a product before, but this anti-bug balm is so AMAZING I felt very strongly that I had to! Like others here, I am a mosquito magnet who, once bitten, continues to suffer up to a week or more afterward. Anyway, I decided to try this product in one of the most mosquito-friendly places on earth -- Maine in the summertime. We just got back from two weeks there, and not one single time did I get bitten while I was wearing this balm! I truly couldn't believe it! I love the fact that it's good for your skin... with two small children grabbing my legs and arms at various times of the day, I really don't like the idea of coating myself in chemicals like DEET, etc. I cannot say enough great things about this anti-bug balm -- I'll never use anything else (or suffer again!)

I tried this thinking because of the other reviews it would be great....not so!!! It didn't work for me...still was bitten!
