I have eczema, and the itching has been difficult to stop. It gets worse during winter months. This cream is the best thing I have found to control the itching, and it also seems to promote healing. It works better than other cortisone creams I have tried -- maybe it's the additional ingredients in this product. I highly recommend this stuff!

Every couple of years in the autumn season I develop what is called Pompholyx AKA Dyshidrotic Eczema on my hands. It's basically this extremely painful and ugly condition where it looks like eczema x100. The affected areas begin to swell and my ring finger and my pinkie were bigger than my thumb! Due to the swelling, they also did not move or function normally. The skin becomes incredibly dry, cracks and eventually bleeds. I have tried absolutely everything but steriods (which I do not use for a reason!) to heal the dermatitis. Nothing worked. I became so paranoid about the condition of my hands I barely even wanted to go out into the public. THEN, on some random forum online someone mentioned they achieved great results with the Aveeno 1% Hydrocortisone. I quickly rushed out to the drugstore and that very same night, my hands were already 50% healed! The ointment stings a little on broken skin, but that didn't bother me one bit. It's been three days since I've been using it and the dead, sick skin is gently coming off revealing clean, healthy beautiful me! It's seriously a miracle product!!

THis hydrocortisone seems more soothing than others and even seems to provide a level of healing that others don't.

II have two Grandsons who suffer (and I mean suffer) with what the dr. says is eczema. This is the only product that has worked including prescriptions. .Just imagine a little one not scratching himself or herself raw, sleeping without scratching, and the ugly red crusty/patchy skin is now clear. I hope anyone with the "itchies" will try this cream.

I have sensitive skin that is prone to itchiness. I bought this product last year to use up the rest of my flexible spending dollars. It works well, without any sort of smell. I think the combination of colloidal oatmeal and hydrocortisone works well. I keep it in my bag to treat skin irritations while I am out of the house. Thumbs up.
