Shikai Borage Dry Skin Therapy was okay. It wasn't great and it wasn't bad. It does go on thick and heavy, feeling like it sits on the skin as a barrier to keep moisture in and the elements out of your skin. It has a "dull" scent which means there is no perfume-like scent, but it is not without scent. I have dry skin (even in the warm summer) and eczema, so have tried a lot of different moisturizing products. Based on my experience, this product is average. I prefer the Aveeno line because it protects my skin longer and goes on a bit smoother.

This lotion healed my cracked hands and heels on my feet associated with winter dryness. I also like it because it's unscented. A little goes a very long way. I now use it all year long.

I can't say enough good things about this product. It has done wonders for my dry skin. I had all sorts of little lumps and bumps in the back of my knees and they all disappeared before I was finished with the first purchase. I use it every evening after I shower and it soaks in instantly. It has no fragrance which is great for my chemically sensitive nose.

I had been complaining to a co-worker of dry, cracked, itchy, winter dry skin (which I had never had a problem with previously). Her husband works at an organic market, so she brought this lotion in for me to try. I tried it out at work and didn't notice a difference, but after a shower, my parched skin was like new again. My boyfriend has some seriously thirsty skin (hands especially, omg) and he's been using this as an all over body lotion...after a week his skin feels baby soft and I haven't seen an ashy knuckle since. I would definately recommend this product, but the downside for me is the smell...it's going to turn you off at first but I would layer with your normal body mist or perfume and the funny (milky sort of) smell will fade. I'm not certain how well this works for people who suffer from a more serious skin problem, but if you aren't having any luck or want to try something different...it's definately worth it. I'm going to order one of the scented hand/body creams and see how well those work.

I have been using this moisturizer on my hands and other very dry spots (elbows, legs, around my nose and mouth). I have been trying to get my mate to use it on his very dry winter skin/eczema spots on his body. It seems to be helping (for when he remembers to use it). I had one spot of flaky eczema and it seems to be helping (applying a few times a day to the spot), but it isn't completely gone yet. I haven't had dry, cracked hands yet this winter, and I've been using this a few times a day on them (before bed, before going out, after washing dishes). This lotion doesn't leave a greasy or slimy feeling, it absorbs well and leaves my skin soft. At first, I thought the bottle seemed small, but it has been a few months and it isn't empty yet. The only thing I don't love about it is that even though it is unscented, it has an "unscented lotion" smell. A slightly oily smell that sometimes reminds me of the smell of raw egg whites, but it is very mild! I tend to notice smells that most people don't. Otherwise, this is a great moisturizer for very dry skin.
