I decided to try this cream after trying and liking another Emu cream for pain relief. I always try a few brands of a product type out before settling on one. I don't think I will be settling on this one. It does work. Emu oil provides slow-acting but thorough pain relief for mild aches. This product also has menthol for quicker pain relief while you are waiting for the Emu oil to do its thing. Menthol creates a cooling sensation that can border on feeling like burning, especially near mucus membranes, so you want to be careful where you put it. Anyway, that's not why I won't repurchase. It's the smell. Have you ever popped a stick of bubblegum and a stick of spearmint gum at the same time just to see what that would taste like? I have. That is what this smells like. And there is a reason for that really strong smell, because underneath of it I can detect something really off-putting that the smell is trying to cover up. I will use up the jar because it works, but I can't wear this in front of other people. Their poor noses. I just can't do it.

I use it on the lower back and hip (sciatic nerve area) and it really does a good job of penetrating and giving pail relief. It has a subdued fragrance, not a mediciney smell, and I doo not want to be without it.

When using the computer, often have pain in shoulder. Finally, forced to apply this cream, and sometimes, the pain is relieved for a time. Doesn't last for very long, but helps in a pinch.
