Simple, effective, inexpensive. This little comb can save a nice sweater from the trash. It removes lint and pills from knits better than the electric clothes "shaver", without damaging the fibers. I've cut through yarn and stitching with the shavers. The only drawback is that it could be larger. It takes quite a while to do an entire garment.

This awful device pulls at your sweater, so you end up removing lots of fabric but then the sweater loses its flat finish as there are all these little fuzzy fibers standing up now. There is more fuzz and pilling than ever when you use this device. It would be much better to use one of those electric trimmers instead.

My mom gave me one of these about 25 years ago and I was so excited to find them on Drugstore.com! I make items from felted sweaters and this works wonders on the little pills that form in the wash.

Amazing. Totally took off all of those little pills underneath the arm on my wool sweaters. Haven't tried it on cashmere yet, though.

This is a wonder; I'm not going to even try the electric versions. It delicately "combs" out all the little fuzz balls with a light quick twist of the wrist. I was especially pleased with the results on my black support stockings and an Ace elastic knee brace both of which are synthetic material. You must understand however, that ANY device that picks up embedded fuzz does so at the cost of a slight wear on the fabric, so if the article is years old or is of delicate material be gentle with it.
