Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask is a breakthrough acne-fighting formula that can be used two ways:
As a Daily Cleanser to kill the bacteria that can cause blackheads and breakouts. Gently massage the rich creamy lather over skin and rinse with water.
As an Intensive Mask for deep cleansing and extra oil control. Smooth an even layer ober skin, allowing the formula to penetrate for up to 5 minutes before rinsing with water. You'll feel it's cooling intensity build as it penetrates into the pores.

Use for the treatment of acne.

Do not use this medication if you have very sensitive skin or if you are sensitive to benzoyl peroxide. This product may cause irritation.
Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are:
Currently under the care of a physician for your acne.
Using other topical acne medications at the same time or immediately following use of this product. This may increase dryness or irritation of hte skin. If this occurs, only one medication should be used unless directed by a doctor.
When using this product avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, flush thoroughly with water.
Stop use and ask a doctor if irritation becomes severe.
Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact Poison Control Center right away.

I have uncomfortably oily skin, and anything that claims not to dry out your skin is usually ineffective for me. Especially with very soft water. This is the only cleanser I've ever found where no matter how soft the water is, my face actually feel CLEAN afterwards! Additionally, if I'm feeling particularly oily, I use it as an intensive (but cool and refreshing) facial mask.
I've been using the product since my dermatologist recommended it 5 years ago. Unfortunately, I've since moved around the world to places that don't sell it, so I've had to try other products. I've never found any that I like as well, so I still stock up and buy a few tubes every time I visit the US!

i got this because i was suddenly breaking out all over my face. i usually have fairly flawless skin, but this time it got bad. i used this product in the mask form twice in one week, and all over the side of my face got little, itchy bumps. i had to stop using and use a lot of lotion to get it to calm down. havent used it since, BUT my skin cleared up!

I use this product every morning to wash my face. I helps me a lot with my oily skin. Also I try to use it 2 to 3 times a week as a mask, it really helps to improve your skin oiliness a lot! Love the fresh feeling.

I use the product as a mask everyday before getting in the shower. Once in the shower, I rinse it off. At night before bed, I run a similar routine. I put it on, leave it to dry, and rinse again. My skin has improved significantly since finding this cleanser. At skin care parties, people ask what I use because my skin looks so good.I LOVE this stuff...

I'm using the second tube now. It's a great cleansing mask, and the smell is perfect for summer. However, since I moved to this very dry area, I cannot use it as a daily cleanser any more, because it burns my cheeks. Besides that it's perfect.

It's crazy more people don't use this becuase it has the same active ingredienta as Proactive and is far chapear and with no mass marketing hassle. Yes it can stain clothing if it's not washed off completely and it can be harsh if you leave it on too long but it works far better than most any other product. I would recommend using as a cleanser only, not a mask. It was recommended to me by a dermatologist. I just bought 6 of these because they are hard to find in stores.

I don't get it. I have very dry skin, but this product seems to leave my skin very soft and moisturized even though it is targeted to people with oily skin. This minimized my pores and got rid of my uneven skin tone fast! As with any BP product, it has the chance to bleach towels, shirt collars, etc. so be careful and rinse off thoroughly! There was a slight burning/tingling feeling after a couple seconds of applying it, but it wasn't unbearable.
To use as a cleanser: Wet face. Squeeze into hands. Apply to face and massage gently. Rinse thoroughly.
To use as a mask: Do not exceed 2 to 3 times per week. Squeeze into hands. Smooth an even layer over skin. Allow to dry for up to 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.
If excessive drying or bothersome peeling occurs, reduce application to once per week (mask use) or every other day (cleanser use).
