I have used Airborne before, but generic, cheaper knock offs work just the same. They are all hit and miss. Taking this will not prevent you from getting sick, but it can help prevent you from being taken out by people who cough on you or germs you pick up on doorknobs. My sister takes this a LOT and she is sick right now, so it is not a guarantee of anything.

We have used Airborne (or generic equivalent) for over 10 years, on and off. It appears that the years we have used it regularly we have fewer colds and they are MUCH less intense when they do occur. We are now 65+ and have the grandchildren on a regular basis, so the "availability" of cold germs is high.

We started taking this about 3 years ago after our preschool teacher told us she used it when she started to get sick. Our entire family uses this--our kids use it daily when they are going to school and rarely get sick, especially in comparison to their classmates. My partner and I use it when we start to get sick. We all use it before going somewhere that will have lots of germs in an enclosed area, like flying or when taking healthy kids along to a doctor for 1 sick kid. We tried the kids version of this, but our kids prefer the taste of this flavor. Since this is just a double dose of the kids' version, we break it in half--the kids like it better and it costs half as much! My kids don't mind the seltzery taste, but I do, so I put it into juice. It takes longer to dissolve, but tastes better to me.
