I bought this humidifier last year because it appeared to be the best one the store had in-stock at the time. I used it last fall and winter and am using it again this winter but only because I can't afford a new one right now. It's a humidifier and does the job, but not very effectively. I notice very little change in the moisture in the air. It requires "cool" water which I don't find to be effective at helping with my dry sinuses and skin. It's like breathing cold winter air all night. I think my next one will be a warm-air humidifier. This unit also requires nightly refilling (using the Medium setting) and is very difficult to clean. There's no way to clean out the blue water basin other than rinsing it with soapy water so residue and settlement builds up, even using filtered water. (I would not use it with regular tap water.) It says the filters "never need replacing", but in my opinion, the buildup is gross and their vinegar/water soak does not clean it efficiently. I would not recommend this product.

It does help you breathe, however in the bedroom it is noisy and it burps and when it does, the lights blink. When they are not blinking, it does provide a nice nightlight. Over all I'd give it a 6 out of 10

We used this product just about every night to deter SIDS and keep out newborn's cold at bay. I cleaned it weekly with vinegar, as suggested, and still have a buildup of pink mold all over the filter. I am surprised to see it touted here as 'never needing replacement'. I actually came on this site to find a replacement filter! I can't seem to get the pink mold off. I guess using distilled water can help. Overall, if you want a humidifier to last, you have to suck it up and buy ones that have replaceable cartridges.

This unit gets a bad build-up of salt all around the motor and on the intake vents. The main part of the machine must be emptied twice per week to keep the salt in check. The valve on the reservoir started out OK, then leaked badly for a while, then got better (?). It only holds 1 gallon of water, so it must be filled twice per day when used on 'high'. The metal wicks are nice, the blue light is cool...but everything else is a pain.

A little on the noisy side at night, because the motor seems to cycle.... gets noisier at certina times than others. So we have it on for an hour or so nefore we go to bed with the door closed and turn it off before we go to sleep. I don't think any other humidifier would be a lot better. Does the job.

Initially, I really like this machine even though it always made some noise. The water chamber is difficult to clean and taking the machine apart and putting it back togeather was difficult as well. I have had the machine for just under 2 years and threw it away as it stopped working.

I like it a lot, but the filter does have to be replaced and trying to find them... I finally gave up and bought oversized filters and cut them down. This works, which is ok since I do think it is a good unit.
