The thermal properties of The 'Ove' Glove™ outer layer, which is made of Nomex® and Kevlar® dramatically extend the time you can handle a hot object in your hands. The tough exterior of this glove forms a thermal isolation barrier, slowing the temperature increase in the interior layer of soft Doubleknit cotton. When exposed to an open flame, the outer layer of the glove does not catch fire and does not melt.

At last, a hot-dish handling gizmo that makes sense and really works. At the same time, I ordered a popular "silicon glove" and there's no comparison.
This "Ove Glove" is flexible and really lets you grab onto the dish. The other is little better than an old-fashioned oven mitt, though stiffer and feels like just heavy rubber.
In short, I think I'm going to love this Ove Glove and rarely use the other. Highly recommended; even though the price may be a bit high.

I bought the Ove Glove back in December to replace our old worn out kitchen gloves. At first I thought this was a great product, but after having several occasions where my husband and myself have felt intense heat coming through the Ove Glove I am not a fan anymore. The occurrences have been happening when the oven is around 400 degrees or higher. This is not a perfect product.....just be careful and always test the Ove Glove out on the baking dish before actually grabbing it out of the oven.

Friend got me a pair of these a few years ago and they worked so much better, but even so, they have wore out their welcome. Too pricey when they don't last very long.

Gave several Ove Gloves to my friends who love to cook. (I do not cook.) At any rate, the first family to receive from me raved--so I ordered and sent more. This has been so well received that it is my belief everyone who spends time cooking should try it. Sister has laundered set she & hubby used for holiday cooking. Said it came out perfect & they plan to keep Ove Gloves in the kitchen & at the BBQ grill from this time forward.

I had 2 of the original Ove Gloves & they have gotten really grungy, even with being washed. One thing I was not aware of is that Kevlar breaks down over time & items made with it should be replaced every 5 years or so. Guess I won't be giving the old ones to the church!

This glove is great.
Lets you get a great grip on hot pots/plates. I love it because there is no way it will slip off my hand. My hands are well protected and I will not get burned.
