I have migraine headaches, and the Chillow has been a blessing. I also found it unexpectedly soothing when I had a recent bout of the flu with fever - it helped me to be more comfortable. However, it did develop a pinprick leak within a month of purchase which soaked my pillow. We repaired it with silicone caulk, but not a good sign!

Please do yourself a favor -- don't get the CHILLOW! I thought it was a great idea and asked for it as a Christmas present. The first one sprung a leak. The second one lasted longer but the cooling effect didn't last long. I found myself waking up in the middle of the night sweating from the warm plastic material of the Chillow. The bunching up also became really annoying. The second one sprung a leak after 3 months. It was not worth it. The idea may be good, but the design really needs some improving.

Stays very cold but it bunches up. I'm sick and tired of trying to scrunch the thing so I can unwrinkle the inside stuff and actually sleep on it. It now lies in a sad pile next to my bed. Good concept, but they should sew the inner liner to both sides of the outside sheath. Thumbs down!

The Chillow slid all over the inside of the pillow, and bunched up at the neck. I couldn't get comfortable at all trying to use it. That fact alone negates any value in this product!

This is a great idea -- IF you are not a rough sleeper. We've had 3 over the last two years and they have never sprung a leak - however - my husband bunches his pillows up under his head and this quickly twists the foam core into a mess I can rarely fix. I do find them uncomfortable myself, but he loves them despite the lumpy sloshing. Oh - we did have mildew with our first one, but if I refill it regularly we don't.

I thought it worked pretty well. I had a little problem with it bunching up too much, though. I think the bunching, and the fact I didn't do the periodic maintenance they suggested, led to an early demise. I had it a little over a year when the cover (the fabric side) started showing some spotting that looked and smelled like mildew, so I threw it out. No practical way to clean it, that I could see. I'll try to take better care of this one.

I use my Chillow for hot afternoon naps; it doesn't stay cool as long as I'd like, but is wonderful while it does. If it's too hot I stick in the fridge for a while. Cools right off. I keep it in its own pillow case, so I can move it around easily.

This is a great product - really nothing like it out there so really you can't go wrong. I bought it for my boyfriend who is constantly 100 degrees and it's his favorite. It's easy to get the air out, just lay it flat and put a towel underneath for the water. After you plug it up, we never had an issue with leaking. It's a little hard for my taste, but my boyfriend doesn't seem to mind and it DOES stay cool (not COLD) throughout the night.
