The Chillow didn't work for me as a bed pillow. It is too heavy, the sensation of the water shifting inside of it awakened me when I moved in the bed, and the plastic smell was too intense. Then I tried the Chillow as a cushion on the back of my ergonomic desk chair. I draped it over the back of the chair, and taped it to itself with package sealing tape. It is soothing to my back, and better for this purpose than anything else I have tried.

I bought this item for my husband for his birthday and it ended up being a total let down. It wasn't too bad to set up but we were disappointed in the performance. I was shocked at how heavy the product was and it was difficult for my husband to get comfortable on it. He tried it for a night and said he did not feel the cooling effect that was described. I am glad I only bought one to try.

I have been going through menopause for close to twelve years now and the Chillow is a wonderful find! I stopped HTR about 2 years ago but still had occasional hot flashes and night sweats. The Chillow was the answer for me. I highly recommend it!

I think the Chillow is excellent. I hope that in the future they find some way to make it not as heavy, nevertheless, I think it's totally worth it. I had miserable night sweats and it really does help with that. Getting it set up is a little tricky, but I had no problem getting the air out.

I purchased this for my boyfriend because he cannot sleep when he is hot. He has always said he wished he could get a pillow that stays cool...and I found one. I absolutely love this and it does stay cool all night (well, unless the cat decided to take the other half of it for himself). I do think that its not very durable and within a 2-week span it started to leak. Other than that, we found it to be great.

This product is fantastic. The set up can take a little bit of time, but if you are gentle with it, it can provide many, many cool nights of sleep to come. I highly recommend putting the Chillow in the fridge about an hour before bed. Take it out, and you've got a frosty pillow awaiting you. Perfect.

I really like my Chillow! After trying it different ways, I now have it covered in it's own pillowcase, and then I use it on top of an additional pillow. Using it without a cover made my face stick to it, and the paint on the cool side kept coming off on me. It has made falling asleep much easier. I don't search for the cool spot on my pillow any more! There are only a couple of things that I'm not thrilled with. First, I'm a wild sleeper, and my Chillow gets all bunched up every night. It takes a while to get it back straight - that's not as easy as you might think. Second, it doesn't stay cool all night. I understand that's the way that it's supposed to work, but I would like cold all night. It's certainly not the cure-all, but if you're like me, and just want a cool pillow at night, I say it's totally worth it.

After a few hours, this product gets hot and becomes ineffective. It also has a tendency to shift and bunch up, which is difficult to undo. I have found it is not possible to remove the air without water leaking from the valve. I purchased two of these and one has sprung a leak at the seams. This is a good idea, but it still needs to have the kinks worked out.

I suffer from night sweats and my husband from headaches. In looking for relief, other than pills and orthopedic style pillows, I decided to try the Chillow. I followed the directions - fill with water and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. My husband was the first to sleep with it. What a mistake; he ended up with a headache and neck ache. I tried the next evening and woke up in the middle of the night sweating and with neck pain. I ended up throwing it in the garbage. What a waste of money!!

All this thing did is make my pillow smell bad. It did nothing to make the pillow cooler, or to make it so I didn't have to turn the thing over on many occasions during the night. It didn't enhance my sleep experience at all; in fact, it made it worse. Don't waste your money!
