I have used this for years with my kids (ages 4 and 6). Every time we travel, go to a birthday party or the other kids at school are getting sick, our whole family takes a teaspoon before bed and stays well. We use it whenever anyone is feeling rundown or when the kids get a little evening fever and 9 times out of 10, no one gets sick. This is the best tasting elderberry syrup around... and Drugstore's prices beat W F Market (my back-up spot for purchase). We stock up by the dozen and usually see the doctor just once a year for a check-up.

My toddler loves is. A must-have in my medicine cabinet. I usually have this one and the Nature's Way Sambucus for kids at all times. This one is great as a stand-alone but I also like to mix it in a half-strength juice. When I need to fight a real fight, I mix in this syrup (or Nature's Way Sambucus) with vitamin c and/or Herbs for Kids Echinacea/Goldenseal.

Very effective. I alternate this syrup with the Nature Way's Sambucus. I have both at all times. It tastes great on its own or sneaking it in a juice with other vitamins.

i ran out of herbs for kids elderberry and couldn't find it online through my usual website, so i bought some for twice as much $$ at our local health food store. it was not effective at all! luckily i discovered that it is also available on this website! i will not run out again. w/o this, my daughter's chronic fall/winter cough will develop into a much worse condition. we have tried EVERYTHING and this is the safest for her and best value for me!

I have read that elderberry extract is an anti-viral agent. I have found that if i give this to my children or myself at the first rash of sneezes, it will usually ward off a cold. But sometimes, nothing i do will stop a cold, and i've tried a lot of things !! I also use it as a throat soother for my children, as they wont take anything else, like a mentholated cough drop. It does seem to help, but not cure.

I continue to buy this product, because i feel it is effective most of the time. I also highly reccomend daily supplimentation of vit D.

A side note: when i got my chicken pox shot, it itched so much, that i tried the only two anit-virals i knew, elderberry and vit E. Alone, neither worked, but together, it stopped the itching for about 4 hours.

My kids have been taking it because we plan to travel a lot this season. So far so good. I wish I had begun taking it when they started because who's the sicko? Me! I'm the mom I should listen to my own advice!

our family (age range of 2 years to 34 years!) ALL use this for instant relief of a sore throat. It works pretty much on contact for even the really really bad cases where it hurts to even swallow your own saliva. its great because it is not numbing AT ALL. You just stop feeling pain, everything else feels noramal...unlike the numbing throat sprays or lozenges most people are used to taking. It feels as if you never had an issue or took anything. Plus, this actually tastes REALLY good. (I dare say this would be quite yummy as a pancake syrup...though probably not a good idea, lol.) I suspect my kids have faked a couple "sore throats" just to attempt to get a dose of the syrup...so watch out for that.

I'm so glad I found this product. It helped my 3 year old son stop coughing so he could sleep. He says it tastes good. I also think it helps shorten cold and lessen symptoms. I give it to my 14 month old too. So far she hasn't gotten sick. I'm going to stock up on this for winter!
