My husbnd and I have been taking the orange flavored drink for about 20 years. It keeps our nails from splitting, eleminates white spots on nails and helps with hangnails.It has Vit C in it too. I LOVE this product. My nails are growing like crazy and look great! No more acrylics for me! Also makes hair and skin look better with time. I had NO PROBLEM with mixing the powder as many reviewers made note of - did it just like the packages says and mixed with a small whisk (made for stirring within a cup).

I had never been able to grow healthy nails before using this product. I still have issues with some splitting and peeling, but nothing like before using it. I have been using it for a number of years, and suddenly can't find the product in any drug store or grocery stores in San Francisco. I gave up and ordered on line. I'm glad it's still available, and now in new packaging.

This product is wonderful if you follow the directions and remember to or have the time to make the beverage. Many of the reviews I've read on this product include statements like "it's difficult to mix into the water" or "It clumps as soon as you put it into the water". The directions say to add the drink mix first, and then add the water. This makes a big difference in how well the mix blends. I've done it incorrectly a few times, and the order you add the ingredients really does matter. The beverage tastes great and it does seem to work. The only problem that I have with this product is that it's a beverage and is not available iin pill form. I know that there are other gelatin supplements on the market, but they do not work as well as Knox, or they contain herbal ingredients that I do not need/cannot take. It would be much easier to take if it were a pill, because I could put it in my pill reminder box. It must be taken every day in order to see results, and it must be taken every day in order to maintain those results. Skipping or forgetting doses causes the supplement to take that much longer to work.

72yrs, 3 strokes -- nails got very bad

At 72yrs with 3 strokes, I lost track, I used to use this product, and had such amazing results - and was really bummed when I could not find it in the stores where I always bought it before. Called Knox/Jelllo and they told me two stores locally .. they didn't have it, I nearly cried. My nails have chipped and flaked so badly since the strokes. They also reccommended drugstore.com and now I am thrilled. I used to use a single blade mixer, the kind that has it's own cup, and mix only 2-3 seconds (wiothout foam) mixes great in COLD water, and ALWAYS put it in a DRY cup FIRST !!! Knox would not advise it without good reason !! I keep the water in a small bottle in the fridge at all times, just for my KNOX FOR NAILS !!! I might try the person's suggestion and mix several days worth at a time and keep it in the refrigerator. And remember ladies , 4 oz is just 4-6 swallows !! Are your nails worth it (?) mine are for sure !!

My mom first taught me to use this years ago for strong nails. I started using it again after a set of acrylics ruined my nails and I started noticing results within a couple of weeks - nails seemed to grow a bit faster and were less apt to split. It is a bit hard to stir into water though, it's clumpy and you have to smash the clumps with the spoon.
