This does remove the hair, and it can be used in the microwave. But it needs muslin strips for the bikini area. It does NOT come with them. After a failed attempt at waxing (i.e. wax coming off in tiny little chunks, taking forever and being painful), I ordered strips. It also smells terrible.

Im only 20 and have had facial hair since about 13. Ive tried all kinds of wax, tweezers, creams, lotions and many EXPENSIVE methods that didnt work. So I shaved, but after a while it makes the hair darker and thicker. So I decided to give this a try. Ive been really nervous because most waxes dont grab the hair unless its long, but I cant let my facial hair grow like that! I love it! It worked great. I cant wait to never have to be in public and worry about my make up coming off and exposing my genetic shortcomings. As a greatly typical person I was nervous, but I promise it works!

I'm writing this for other first time users. I'm a male and I bought zip wax to get rid of neck hair (sensitive area w/coarse hair - bad combo). It's painful, but effective. This is how it worked best for me: Heating in a microwave was fine, just stir the blob left over after 2 minutes. 1 cube (comes with 8) worked for my entire neck. Apply while it is smooth & warm in SMALL strips, not very wide. Use the tip of the applicator to push the end you want to pull up a little so you have it to grab. I found it worked best if I waited more than 5 minutes for it to get mostly hard. If wax snaps apart as you pull it, it's too soft or spread too thin. Hold the skin around the area and pull ACROSS the skin quickly. If wax in the mug is hard, reheat for 20 seconds & stir. My only complaint is though they provide directions they still left me enough in the dark to go through a painful trial and error. I definitely see how with more practice this will be an easy to use, effective product though.

With my thick eastern European hair growth I have found Zip wax to be the only thing that effectively removes my unwanted hair. I have tried EVERYTHING available over the counter and have found Zip wax to be the best. I use a dedicated pan and metal measuring cup to heat the wax. I LOVE this stuff!

I have a lot of unwanted chin hairs, and tried plenty of hair removal products. None left me as happy as Zip Wax. My skin was nice and smooth prior to using it, everytime I use something else, my hairs would grow back thicker, but not with Zip.

I have used Zip Wax for a number of years, and like the product very much. It is easy to use, melts easily, applies easily, and removes facial hair with one application. I tried another well-known name product and can't even get it to melt.

I waxed my neck and lip at home for the first time yesterday using Zip, and I will never let anyone else wax me again. I used a potpourri disk buner (glass with a tea light candle underneath) to melt the block--it took a while, but it was easy. The best part is I could do as little or as much as I wanted. Love this stuff!

Like others, I think this is the best stuff going. Also, like others, I have spent loads of money on other products, but this stuff is old-fashioned and works well. The directions tell you not to microwave, but I do anyway. I put a pretty big piece in an old coffee mug and microwaved for two minutes. At the end of two minutes, you may have some liquid wax and some soft but still solid wax. Don't microwave again. Rather, stir it with the stick that comes with it and the liquid wax will melt the solid wax and also bring the temp down to a comfortable level. This is not some magical pretty spa treatment, but boy oh boy, it gets those hairs.

I have used Zip Wax for years and love it because as an African-American woman some of the other waxes I tried didn't have quite the pulling power needed to get out the curlier or coarse hairs.

Zip was horrible. Let me preface by saying this was my first attempt at waxing at home. I found the double-boiling technique troublesome. The stuff never got smooth. Worst of all, it didn't remove any of my hair!!! It is quite possible that I did everything wrong, but I will never know. I've had my foot stepped on by a full grown horse, and that was not nearly as painful as this was. If this is your very first time waxing at home, try something else that is a little easier to manage. This stuff must be for people who have been waxing at home for years.
