So I'm a beginner waxer. I actually got this for my legs, but ended up using it for a bikini wax. I had never had a bikini wax, but I wanted to try it before going to a professional just because I have ultra sensitive skin. Anyway, I tried this and it worked really well. Of course, it was painful (it might just be because I'm a beginner) but it got the job done and I think most people would be able to handle the pain if you got smooth results. As for the heating, I just popped it in a mug and into the microwave. I know it says not too, but I did. I did heat for 15 seconds at a time though to prevent overheating. Nothing happened to my microwave or the wax, so I guess it's all good. I would give this a 4 if it wasn't so painful, but after some practice I might come back and write another review for it. Hope this helps you guys make a decision.

This product was awful. Firstly you need to 'break' the quantity of wax that you want to use....but in reality it is not breakable as I had to use a knife to cut through it with much effort. Secondly you cannot heat it directly on the stove or in the microwave but on something you can place over indirect heat like boiling water. This is such a timewaster as I spent about half an hour trying to get it to melt. Finally I used it over my upper lip and it barely pulled out a strand or two. Maybe there is a knack to using it....but I dont want to waste my time trying to find out when there are much better products out there which are quick and efficient.

My mother uses this product as a lip wax. Nothing else, including microwave waxes, prepared wax strips or sugaring, works as well. Zip is impossible to find in retail stores, so we were lucky to find it at drugstore.com.

I cannot say enough how much I love this stuff. Right now I have a mug that I devoted to wax, I pop that into a pot of water on low/moderate heat (3 1/2 - 4 on my electric stove). I have waxed every stray hair off my body easily, quickly, and fairly painlessly. My armpits, legs, and entire bikini area are completely smooth. The first time I used it on the very sensitive areas, I' not gonna lie, it hurt quite a bit. Not enough to stop, but enough to be like "Whoa!". But when I did it the second time it was just zzziiiipppp! and it was gone, no pain! I was so thrilled with my results that I plopped my husband down and took care of his excess hair. His funny little ear hair-gone. Weird eyebrow hairs-gone. Hairs I didn't like in HIS sensitive areas-gone. He was shocked at how easy it was, he kept saying "I can't believe it doesn't hurt that bad." And I was able to do both of us with just 2 boxes, and since I re-melt the stuff that isn't too hairy, I still have a ton left for maintenance--but I bought two more to have on hand. I can't say enough about this fabulous product. I do wish that they carried the tube wax, since it would be easier to do eyebrows and other small areas without so much mess, but oh well.

Having had expensive wax treatments at salons, with minimal results, I began looking for a product to remove my upper lip and chin hair. After trying several products on the market, I tried this one. Follow the directions and you will get results that last much longer than salon treatments. And the price is right too!

If you've never waxed before, it takes practice so don't give up on this product after the first try. Waxing is hard. I've waxed with several products and this is the best.

I just tried this for the first time, but I am hooked! I sacraficed an old mug to the wax gods, and had a blast ripping hair from my body. I had been using Magic Powder for my bikini line because I don't like shaving, but I will be Zip only from now on. I was able to do my armpits and entire bikini area by myself, with virtually no discomfort. I got my husband on the bandwagon too, he's a moderately hairy guy with odd little spots of hair (unibrow, ear LOBE hair, etc) but one session took care of all of that. He was thrilled I wasn't plucking at him anymore with tweezers. If you can handle some minor discomfort and won't wuss out this is a cheap easy way to care for yourself.

It is a little messy until you learn how to use it, but once you do, this is the best stuff around for home hair removal.

This wax may be suitable for legs and/or underarms, but is NOT for brazilian waxing. It gets cold very quick and I need to warm it again and again. Moreover there is only one wooden stick, which you have to trow away after the first time because you could not clean it.

I use every few weeks to remove lip, chin & "sideburn" hair. Works great, but very messy. Have tried lots of other depilatories, but this is the only one that works.
