This mask works well for oily skin. It does burn a bit if left on too long. I found it's best to rinse it off as soon as it dries, and not leave it on too long. It does refine the pores and has a nice fresh minty smell that covers the smell of sulfur in it.

I have a very oily face with really large pores. This product really made my pores smaller! Didn't experience any discomfort whatsoever.

This product is effective and refreshing, however I was not excited about the uncomfortable mint stinging I sometimes experienced. Care should also be taken to not use it so much that it disrupts the natural oil balance of one's skin, as I also experienced.

After a week of using it daily, I saw a reduction in blackheads, however it has made my skin very tender and sensitive and aggravated larger blemishes, making them red and swollen. Now when I use it, it stings rather than tingles. Overall: the blackhead clearing effects are short-lived, and it's made my skin's condition worse. I will not buy again. Origins Clear Improvement Charcoal Mask is much gentler.

I've been using this product on and off over the past 5 years, and it has never disappointed! My skin is pretty thick, so I tend to wear the masque overnight. The results are fantastic. My skin feels extremely clean, the pores look significantly smaller, and (as others have said) though it doesn't wash out the blackheads it's very easy to squeeze them out without scarring your skin. Best miracle of this product: overnight pimple reductions. I've dabbed it on over a problem area and the next days, it's easily been wiped off. Use a soft, damp towel, and be gentle when you're cleaning off your skin. And, most of all, you don't need a huge amount of product for it to be effective. Love this stuff!

It really works, especially in strinking pores! Results could be seen after one use for me. A real good deal for a huge tube like this one! No harm trying. Strongly recommended :)

The FIRST TIME I ever used it, the blackheads on my nose, the sides of my nose, and the pore gunk from the skin on my cheekbones came up to the surface! All I had to do was slough it off. Since I have sensitive skin as well as oily skin, I don't react well to most scrubs (and boy, I have tried a great many) and I have never found a masque that performs as great as this one (I have tried Clinique, Oil of Olay, and other brands). So far, my skin hasn't reacted to the masque, even though my initial guess was that it would grow red from the mint or fragrance. For the price, I think you should at least try it. If it doesn't work, you can always return it--so what have you got to lose?

Blackheads: gone. Pores: smaller. Pimples: zapped.

I've been using this masque for more than 20 years and it's still one of my favorite products. I use it 1-3 times per week to help keep my skin clear and to dab on pimples overnight as needed. Your skin looks awesome after rinsing the masque off...I only wish it looked like that all the time. If you haven't tried it yet, do it!! You just can't beat the price for a great cleansing masque!

This is the best mask ever. I have very large pores that get clogged with blackheads. It's gross. I've tried other products before that claim to make your pores smaller. None of them worked. Until now. It's amazing!! My pores are actually smaller! It says to clean your face before using, so it doesn't really give a deeeeep clean to get rid of the blackheads, but my pores are smaller! Did I tell you? My pores are smaller! Now when I use my tinted moisturizer you don't see craters on my face. It smells like spearmint gum and it stings a little. Nothing too harsh, but you need a moisturizer afterward. And, my pores are smaller.
