Excellent mask, reasonable price. The bentonite and kaolin clay formula in this mask is similar to the formulation of much more expensive, "luxury" brands. You can't go wrong with this. It can be drying to drier skin types, so use an oil-free moisturizer afterward to combat that, and the mint julep smell can be a bit overpowering for some, though it doesn't bother me a bit. Just use it once a week and you will notice smoother, clearer skin in less than a month.

Sometimes the oldest products are the best. I've always suffered with acne and the past year it seems to have gotten worse, lots of tiny little blemishes all over my cheeks that were driving me crazy. This is the only product that's touched them. After a week of daily use, my skin is a hundred times better. Soft, healthy, glowing skin. It may not be for everybody, but coming from somebody who knows what it's like to have bad acne and sensitive skin, give it a try. If it's too harsh for you, the Egg Yolk makes a great alternative.

I've been using this product for 15 years and it's great. This stuff is one of the best-kept secrets out there; it works! Mint Julep Masque has been around for decades and yet many people have never heard of it. Its two primary ingredients are bentonite and kaolin, both of which are natural clays that help to draw impurities from the pores and help dry pimples. You simply smear it on the whole face until it's covered and can't see the skin. Then, you let it dry completely until the product color lightens and becomes crackly. You then remove it with a wet washcloth or if you prefer, you can remove it in the shower using your bare hands and lots of water. I personally prefer the plastic jar to the tube though.

This mask is drying and doesn't help my skin at all. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, but it's worth trying for the price to see if it works for you.

This is certainly a good buy. I just happened by it at a drugstore, and remembering positive comments from others, I purchased a tube. You only need a bit for face and it really left my skin feeling changed and smoother, and did dry out some of the residual hormonal acne. It's a great deal and price. Do try it.

I am a Caucasian male with combination sensitive skin. I bought this relatively inexpensive masque to help treat the blackheads on my nose. I also couldn't help but notice its claim to shrink pores -- a technically impossible thing to do. After trying it for over a week I was very disappointed. My pores were no less visible, pimples that I tried the "spot on" method were not eliminated, and my blackheads were no better. I gave it more time and it never kicked in. I think this is a very overrated product. It's cheap, so experiment. But don't get your hopes up.

I absolutely LOVE this product!!! I have tried countless facial cleansers, masks, acne treatments, strips, etc. Over the counter, prescription and home recipes to name a few!!! On a normal shelf cruise for yet another facial product, I stumbled upon this gem. Not only is this an EXTREMELY affordable product, but also it ACTUALLY does what it claims!! Believe me I wouldn't take the time to write this review if I didn't want to get the word out there- TRY IT! I love the generous size, the smell is FANTASTIC (like toothpaste), the texture is wonderful, and it is gentle enough to use every day! Best of all I notice a HUGE difference in skin texture. My skin LOOKS and FEELS clean! I have always had problem skin, but I never noticed just how large my pores really were- until they practically disappeared!!! INCREDIBLE! I will definitely be trying other products in this line and I've already recommended it to all my friends! A MUST BUY!

I would recommend Queen Helene's mint julep mask to anyone who has large pores and combination or oily skin. I have used it since I was 14 (that's 11 years), and have never been disappointed. It clears and shrinks my pores, and I only have to use it once every couple of weeks or so. I also only apply it to the problem areas (nose, chin, forehead), which means one tube lasts FOREVER. If you have dry or sensitive skin, I'd be wary of trying this, but my oily/sensitive skin has no problems with it. Every now and then, when I run out of this, I try other masks (Burt's Bees, Clinique, Neutrogena, Totally Juicy), but they all either dried me out like mad or didn't work at all. This mask is the best. You can't beat its price, it's cruelty-free, and it WORKS. And the smell is heaven.

I've been using this on and off for over 20 years. It is the best mask (or masque) anywhere for any price! I have tried so many expensive department store and designer brands, and wasted more money than I care to remember. This REALLY WORKS! It sucks all the debris from the pores like a Hoover, it dries up pimples (you can put it on a pimple before bed and the next morning it's on its way out), and it temporarily firms the skin too. I have recommended Mint Julep Masque to so many friends and relatives over the years and they're all still using it. Though, I do not recommend it for those with dry/delicate/sensitive skin. I will keep using this as long as they keep making it, which I hope will be for another hundred years.

I love Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque. It's cheap and it works. It's great as a spot treatment. It dries up acne fast. I highly recommend it.
