I have spent hundreds (probably thousands) of dollars on various types of skin care, including dead sea minerals and everything on a drugstore shelf and there is NOTHING that beats this tube of Mint Julep Face mask. It tightens and shrinks my pores IMMEDIATELY, leaving less oil production for days (I pour oil) I feel rejuvinated and younger as well.

I'm only 19, but I've been using this mask since I first started getting acne at age 13. Although I do not recommend excessive use for those with dry skin, I absolutely urge those with acne prone skin, oily skin, or large pores to run, don't walk, to any drugstore to pick up this mask. I used to work as a beauty advisor at a drug store, and every time a customer asked me about a mask, I immediately turned them towards the Mint Julep Masque. Although it has a slight tingle when you use it, it goes away after about a minute and doesn't burn. When used twice a week, most of your acne/oily skin/large pores problems will be drastically reduced or gone.

Immediate results. Immediate. Amazing. My horrible black heads are gone after 2-3 uses. My breakouts take time to heal, hopefully this will also give those a boost. Amazing.

I don't suffer from severe acne, but just having had a baby weeks ago, my skin is going through some changes and little pimples started to erupt on my chin. I wanted a quick and easy fix. I picked this up, based on good reviews. It didn't do much for me. I like the smell, it did not burn me at all, it was easy to spread and dried and washed off well with warm water. I normally do not have sensitive skin, and I have no allergies to meds, yet this mask turned my skin deep red, hot, and gave me blotches all over. It was like I had chemical burns or something. My skin has calmed down now, it's been hours. I thought I was going to cry, I looked like a freak with deep red patches all over my skin. I am nervous to give it another try after what happened. Maybe I'll just use it in the Tzone area for stubborn blackheads and see what happens. I see no good results after the first use though.

I first tried this product for my blackheads with mixed results. So I shelved it for awhile. Then I got a medium sized pimple surface so I decided to give this product a try again. I dabbed a small amount on the pimple and left it overnight. By the next day, the pimple had significantly shrunk and within 3 days it was completely gone! So I was still skeptical and thought it might just be coincidence. However, last week I had a large, cystic like pimple start to surface. I immediately put a dab of the mask on and left it overnight. It basically dried up and killed the pimple!! I put the mask on again the following night and by day 3 the pimple was all but gone. Absolutely amazing!!! NO product has been as effective spot treatment as this! A couple bits of advice on using as a spot treatment: - You must apply the mask very early in the formation of the pimple. Optimally within a few hours, but if that's not practical, then that evening. If you wait too long, the pimple will grow/mature and nothing will stop it! - You must apply a good enough amount on the spot and leave it overnight. For spot treatment, a short period will not work. Leave it on while you sleep. I hope it'll help you as much as it's helped me!

This product is so amazing! Just leave it on for 15 minutes and wash off with warm water and a wash cloth. It zaps away some blackheads and controls oily skin. I just wish it had acne fighting ingredients to make it even more better! I use this product about once or twice a week to control acne. I really recommend this product for those that have oily skin, blackheads, and acne. It's very affordable and worth every cent!

great product for acne, I use it after I use the thermal spring water, and only after 3 time, my acne got much better!!!! the sad news is, I now want to buy more but find out both drugstore is out of stock of this products.

I'm not crazy about the smell of this masque, but if the results are even half of what people claim it's worth buying. In my area, clay masques do not appear to be all that popular judging from the fact that not even a single one is available at your average drugstore or [...]. Now normally I hate reviews that are written less than a month after purchase because there's really no way to judge a product so fast. However, I'm breaking my own rule about review writing to post after the first week of ownership. When I put this product on my skin for the first time, it did not stick to my pores at all. Instead the clay formed all these outlines around the enlarged pores on my nose that made each individual pore stand out as a dark void in a sea of green. Overall the masque did not go on that evenly and I found myself adding extra layers. After 15 minutes I washed it off with a washcloth and hot water as directed. It did leave my skin soft and less tight than a peel-off masque I had been using. I can't say that it adhered well enough to the pore area to really extract anything or shrink them all that much, however. After removing the mask, I chased it with a product I bought here on Drugstore.com, a toner called "Aqua Glycolic", which contains alpha hydroxy acid. Let me warn everyone right now: That was a mistake! Immediately there was some sort of chemical reaction that gave off a rotten egg smell. My face turned rather red so I applied Ponds dry skin cream. Now it has settled down but still looks rather blotchy. I'm not giving up on this Queen of Helene Mint Julup Masque, but I would caution others not to chase it with a product containing ammonium glycolate or glycolic acid. The combination is just too harsh.Others have reported tingling while applying this masque; however, I did not experience any such sensation. Speaking of sensations, some of the negative reviewers stated their skin was irritated or broke out immediately in large red blemishes. Let me pass on an FYI: OTC products containing sulfer are rare because many people react to sulfur. Shannon's review back in March 2008 in which she describes an immediate breakout upon application is not a description of acne ¿ since the infected pore takes some time to develop and would not present so fast ¿ but rather, welts or hives associated with a sensitivity or allergy. In the past I have skipped OTC preparations in favor of prescriptions to control cystic acne, and that ultimately culminated in a course of Accutane some 15 years ago. All these years later, my acne has made a comeback despite the "cure" that Accutane is regarded as. About three years ago I obtained a prescription called Differen, but it dried out my skin so badly in a few uses that I was never able to apply it consistently enough to prevent breakouts. Now in my late 30s, my skin is both dry and acne prone. I use Freeman's peel-off cucumber masque, also available here on drugstore.com, which I feel tightens my skin and reduces the appearances of lines and wrinkles. Recently, I was attracted to Queen of Helene because it contains sulfur as did some of the prescriptions I used back in the 1980s. Sulfer is one of the few proven acne fighters out there that people who have skin that is too dry for other OTC or prescription products ought to consider. I will keep using this masque to see if the results are as good as so many claim. Truthfully, I am a bit suspicious of all the hype surrounding the Internet reviews because I typically find that OTC products are simply too weak to do the job (not to mention, you can go broke trying all of them if you're not careful). In this case, however, Queen of Helene's market longevity says something that competing OTC products, and those expensive infomercial "miracle cures", can't boast. For the price, you just cannot go wrong!

I hope i have enough room to write about this wonderful product. I am a teenager BOYYY. Im a college student and throughout my years I hated acne. MY cousin and I couldn't dind the mask that we tried about once but a sales associate told us this was great. I was never really into masks thing b/c i would think that they would just worthless. what are you doing just putting stuff on your face and rinsing it off. NOT this masque this stuff is the best. It cleared up my acne just like that. It smells so good and minty. About a week my acne was gone and my pores were unclogged and my face felt so smooth,soft, and I felt like a different person. I thought I got a face transplant. A whole new skin. I tried everything out there you name it and I tried it. I tried neutrogena,clearasil,oxy.olay.biore,and so on. I went to the dermatologist and they gave me this perscription well it didnt work. I can honestly say this stuff is worth the four dollar. I put it on in the morning when I first wake up, wait until it hardens/15 minutes, start the shower, jump in, do my thing, jump out, and BOOMMMM perfect skin. Hope this helps
