Uh, yeah...when I need a cheap moment of zen without leaving my apartment, I spend some quality time with good ol' Queen Helene! If I'm feeling super-indulgent, I might even do a sensitive apricot scrub and then the mud. My skin is very sensitive, and this does the trick. My male co-worker (who glows) admitted that Queen Helene mud was his guilty pleasure as well.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. I have very sensitive skin and was using sunscreen on my face while on vacation in Puerto Rico and had the worse break out ever. I went to a store and purchased this products hoping it would help....not only did it clean out my pores, but it dried up the zits by the next day....it was a miracle. I have been using it once a week for the last 2 years to keep my face looking fresh and clean.

It does a great job at tightening pores for such a cheap price. It doesn't dry out my skin, but I do find that no matter how well I rinse, there is always some 'residue' left behind (when I use a follow-up astringent, the cotton ball is brown.) You get a lot of mask for your money.

I agree with the negative comments about the fragrance, but I don't use it for the "smell". I have tried several mud masques, and this is by far the best especially for the price. I was using a much more expensive product, and this exceeds the performance of that product. For the dry skin afterwards, I always follow up with a Vitamin E gel containing no alcohol. Bottom line results, I am a 42 year old male who most people guess is 26! Seriously.

Does smell like old lady perfume, but it's cheap, and AWESOME at getting rid of blackheads. They are gone instantly after removing the mask. Just wish it smelled better.

I wanted to like this mask but it really didn't do anything for me. Compared to other masks that I've tried, it actually hurts a lot when it tightens up on my face. I also didn't like the grannie perfume smell.

My favorite Queen Helene product Who doesn't dream of a nice cold mud mask? It gets into those pores and shrinks them too, even though your face may feel dry after it does its job.

I began using Queen Helene Mint-Julep mask when I was 15 years old. That was 40 years ago. Yes, 40. Today I incorporate the Mint Julep along with the Mud Masque (after reading reviews will try the egg yolk.) All my life I have been complimented on my skin. I've always been a spokesperson for this product. I'm not personally saying I look young, but a new doctor thought I was 35. I would be lost (and I believe much older looking) without Queen Helene. I believe it has a long term cumulative effect. I love, love, love this product.

I love Queen Helene's products, but I don't love this one. It's okay, I guess -- I don't hate it. I don't think it does much of anything for skin, though, besides being relaxing (but I think all masques are somewhat relaxing). However, the Mud Masque has an extremely strong smell -- like old lady perfume. It is somewhat unpleasant. I don't recommend it if you have very sensitive skin, or are bothered by heavily scented products. Other Queen Helene products: I love the very effective Mint Julep masque, and its smell is light and clean and not strong at all; the Egg Yolk Masque, while difficult to spread, doesn't smell like anything at all -- so compared to them, I think this Mud Masque is really a weak product in this very strong line, because of the artificial, strong smell. I really think Queen Helene can do better.

For a facial clay mask at a cheap price, this is one of the best I have used. It is not so over-drying that your face will crack and wrinkle. The texture is soft and goes on smooth. I was surprised with the result. I did not think something so cheap could actually work. I used it on my boyfriend. He had a lot of black heads on the cheeks. Somehow after using it, the blackheads just washed off. I like it because the skin is smooth after I use it, and the smell of the mask is light.
