i have an acute sinus problem that flares up every time i get a little rundown. since i'm a nurse in a local hospital, that certainly does happen! since i started taking mucinex prophylactically, i stay healthier, longer. so i'm virtually addicted at this point - better this stuff than surgery.

Feel better in no time at all

the first day i used it i noticed a decrease in congestion. at days end i could breathe much easier and after having cronic congestion for 25 years, i felt alot better. i also have sleep apnea and snore alot.....but that first night i didnt snore hardly at all. i slept more than usual and it was a better sleep so i felt better in the morning. i should have tried this along time ago instead of the garbage the doctors have been prescribing!!!!

The 12-hour product works well overnight at times when allergies and asthma symptoms are bothersome. Unlike other medications, it does not cause anxiety or jitters so I'm able to sleep. If I need to take it in the daytime, it also doesn't cause drowsiness, so it works well then, too.

I have been taking Mucinex every day for a loooong time....since way before it was OTC and when it required a doctor's prescription. I was having major sinus infections that lasted for weeks. I went to a new doctor who prescribed Mucinex for me. He explained that it thins mucous secretions and would help prevent my sinuses from getting clogged up and infected. Since then I have had just a couple of minor infections that lasted a short time. As I said, I take Mucinex every day, one in the morning and one in the evening. (It's important to take with a full glass of water and drink lots of fluids during the day.) When I feel that I am more congested than usual or when I know I am going to be in close proximity to one of my "allergens", such as a dog, I double up for a few days and take two in the morning and two in the evening. I have often recommended that a friend or acquaintance try Mucinex for sinus problems.

Prior to taking Mucinex, fall was a nightmare time for me. I had severe post nasal drip. All the prescription drugs I tried either didn't work or made me extremely sleepy. I was miserable! Now I take two Mucinex every morning, 12 months a year. While fall is rough, I've found in recent years that I also have a cat allergy and Rupert is not getting the boot! I am so grateful for this medication and recommend it often.

Great product to loosen that tough phlegm that doesn't want to come out. The pill is a little hard to swallow and it tastes bad but overall, it is a great product.
