When I first purchased this product and finished the bottle, I was terribly disappointed and certain that it wasn't helpful. After a few days of not taking it, however, I discovered that it had indeed been working. I've had allergies and sinus problems all my life, and this really does thin the congestion for me. You might have to be patient, but it's worth it! I'm a believer now.

This stuff gets me through colds and allergy season. Taken with lots of water it keeps my sinuses clear without my having to resort to decongestants (which drive up my blood pressure and make me jumpy). Mucinex coupled with bromelain (the pineapple enzyme) works so well to keep the sinuses clear that I haven't had to take Sudafed in years. Wonderful stuff.

I tend to get allergic bronchitis during the height of the allergy season. Rather than take antibiotics, I tried this product and within 2 hours it started to work. I have added taking 12 Hour Sudafed also during this course of treatment.

I used to take guaifenesin when it was prescription only. This works just as well. When I moved to Chicago 5 years ago I began getting sinus infections caused by severe allergies. The only thing that prevents me from getting them now is guaifenesin. I take it as soon as I start to feel achy and the stuck congestion in my sinuses and it works almost right away. I have to take it for up to a week at a time sometimes during severe allergy season - but since I've been taking it (3 years now) I have not had any sinus infections.

My boyfriend got sick and he used this product at my recommendation, and his congestion was cleared up within 48 hours. It also was used by my friend who had been sick for a few weeks and her congestion cleared up over the next three days of use from this product. I have used it myself, and it fixed me in 2 hours. It is nice that these drugs are available. They saved me from gong to the doctor or taking medicine I did not need. I will gladly recommend it to everyone I know.

I was experiencing a bad cough and deep chest congestion with phlegm which had made my voice hoarse. I took two of the tablets at the twelve hour intervals as the label instructed for four days without any noticeable changes. I did experience a bad dry mouth which proved that the medicine was trying to do something, but outside of that, this product did absolutely nothing for me. I feel I could have fared better with another product for a lot less money.

This product works on thick post nasal drip that tends to cause upper chest congestion and also helps keep sinuses clear. If you can't/don't want to take Sudafed for sinuses, or if you are bothered by congestion from post nasal drip, give Mucinex a try.
